How a REAL President Responds to Disaster

In Sept. 1999, while duly elected President Bill Clinton was on a working trip to New Zealand to meet with the Chinese president, Cat3 Hurricane Floyd started menacing the Carolina coast. What did he do? Did he strum a guitar? Did he eat cake? Did he lie to the troops about Serbia being just like WII? Did he lie to the nation and a hall full of sycophants about Medicare deformation? NO, of course not! He declared the Carolinas a Federal Disaster Area before Floyd struck, mobilized the National Guard and military, cut short his working diplomatic foray, and flew home early to manage the natural disaster...

What you might ask did W's daddy do in responding to a similar disaster? Poppy Bush's response to Hurricane Andrew was to leave the campaign trail to return to DC and manage the disaster(badly).

Nixon's response to Hurricane Camille? It appears to have been a common sense strategy of readying the National Guard and rescue operation to follow the hurricane in. Thereby having a Federal emergency response on the ground helping out within hrs. of the skies clearing.

Whew! Think about it. "...having a Federal emergency response on the ground helping out within hrs. of the skies clearing". Think what you may of "Tricky Dick", but it makes Nixon seem like a Boy Scout compared to the fucktard we now have mis-managing the show.

Speaking of whom, let's review how our illegitimate Dear MisLeader responded after Hurricane Katrina had struck. To start with, over a third of the LA and MS National Guard (about 8,000 from each state) and their equipment were in Iraq making the Middle East "Safe for Democracy". Leaving the home guard woefully under-staffed and under-equipped.

On Monday August 29th, in the last week of his grueling five week vacation, he found it necessary to fly to Arizona, where he had a birthday cake party with fellow Republican Sen. John McCain and an appearance in a hall full of sycophants where lied to them and the nation about the Republican Medicare Deformation. While fellow American citizens were dying and drowning.

Then on Tues. August 30th he flew to California, where he lied to the troops in San Diego by saying Iraq was just like WWII berfore appearing with a country music artist and strumming his shiny new pResidential guitar. While fellow American citizens were dying and drowning.

Only then did Bush decide to end his five week vacation a day early and return to Washington. The NEXT day, Wednesday August 31st. Doing a "pResidential flyover" from the comfort of AF One on the way! He then finally deigned to address the nation by making the "WORST SPEECH OF HIS LIFE"...

Unfortunately, the sad and disgusting display of mis-leadership doesn't end there. Now it appears the tens of thousands of poor folk were left stranded dying and drowning in New Orleans for another two days, 'til Friday Sept. 2nd, because of a power struggle between the Bushites and the Louisiana government.

Seems Bush and his Neo-con cabal were itching to impose martial law in New Orleans!

So what are we, the American people to do? Well, short of armed uprising or a "Velvet Revolution" there's really only one recourse other than to do nothing.

Call for the immediate impeachment of the current "officeholder", George W. Bush.
