How pathetic and hypocritical. Bush was just preaching on TV a few weeks ago about how withdrawing the troops would not properly honor those that have already fallen and that "we have to complete the mission" garbage, but he is going to arrest a mother of a dead soldier for asking why?!

What will it take to get through Bush's lizard brain that the American public no longer backs his "for profit" war and according to the latest Gallup poll, 54% don't trust him and think he is "hiding something."

Cindy Just wants the truth and so do the rest of us!

The key to this is if the Crawford 50 are threatened with arrest: Do Not Move One Inch.

The last civil disobedience I had with being wrongly bullied by riot police a month ago (carrying my Teach Peace sign), I said, "Arrest me if you must. This 3-feet-square of ground where I stand is the last piece of real and free America left in this city tonight and I am not moving."

The hundreds of riot police in their black riot exo-skeletons milled around me and had both furtive & frantic conferences, hissed in my face, and threatened me with arrest, but finally they did not arrest me. For three hours, my stupid knees were shaking as they had their noses in my face, but there is something about stillness that doesn't activate the attack in the predator or something.

Several episodes before this, they would get me to "just move over here out of the way" or "just come talk to the Captain so we can see what we can work something out."

My old gams hurt so much that I shook my legs around like some dervish after a few hours, I was so tired, I just wanted to go home, but I did not move out of my Sacred Honor square. One police officer tried to tempt me to move by being nice and saying, "You must be tired. You can go sit over there if you want. I would." The one other nice officer offered me a bottle of water, for which I would have normally killed by that point. No. Bad cop, good cop. No. Just don't move out of your Sacred Honor square.

Several would stride so close to me that the stiff starched sleeves of their uniforms brushed my face. It was pretty much their whole bag of intimidation tricks. Most of them were hissers or shouters or bullhorners. "This has now been declared an illegal assembly," from the bullhorn and the black(!) heliocopter clattering ominously and endlessly overhead, "Disperse or you will be subject to arrest."

No. Be smart about where you're willing to stand for 3 hours, and you have to be willing to be arrested, but the stillness works.

And steal this line -- it made me feel braver and it flummoxed them: "Arrest me if you must. This 3-feet-square of ground where I stand is the last piece of real and free America left in this [city, town, road, &c] today and I am not moving from here." I said it over and over, every time they tried a new gambit. Those darn long black riot sticks are scary. Do not move.

This just occurred to me, after reading more about Cindy Sheehan, about how sad and perverse this really is. It took a minute for it to sink in, but then it hit me, George Bush is a real, big coward! As we all know, bullies are cowards in disguise and Bush fits the profile perfectly! Let me explain:

He stated that Saddam Hussein was a threat to our national security because he had weapons of mass destruction. Of course, we all know that is not true and Bush knew it was not true, also. Even after he was told repeatedly, Saddam was seen as "nonthreatening to his neighbors",by the CIA. Bush attacked him (Saddam) anyway.

For a man that was such a threat to national security, why did we find him (Saddam) cowering in an underground spider hole? But, that did not stop Bush, in thought, direction or perpetration of huge war propaganda lies! He bullied ahead and stated “bring ‘em on!”

Cindy Sheehan, unlike Saddam, did not cower; she pressed forward for the truth and confronted the bully. What did Bush do? He hid out in his vacation home, refusing to come out and ordered secret service men to drive their cars recklessly fast and dangerously close to peaceful protestors and their children! This was all an immature and spineless attempt to scare them away from protesting.

To a man (Saddam) quaking in his boots, hiding in a hole, 5,000 miles away, Bush puffs up his chest and declares, “mission accomplished.” To 48 year old Cindy Sheehan, an unarmed woman, peacefully protesting, he declares her a national security threat because she asked for a face to face meeting!

Is it just me, or is it that Bush is a gutless bully, who is finally being exposed, stood up to and asked to step out from behind his magic, transparent curtain of lies and answer for his dastardly deeds?

Company have apparently made the worst possible choice for themselves. The mud-slinging attacks from the right against Cindy are increasing in volume and frequency today. Arrest is all they have left--other than Bush, as commander-in-thief, showing up to answer this one grieving mother's questions.

This is the worst choice of options. I am hoping, that should this event come to pass, that the people of America will rise up and smite this ass with the lower mandible of a donkey.

I hope that Cindy's attorneys are standing by to prevent harm to her person. Thugs, government or private, can easily lose control of their minions.

Cindy is exercising her rights under the cover of both the Constitution and the Declaration Of Independence.

Cindy Sheehan to Be Arrested Thursday

Cindy Sheehan phoned me from Texas a few minutes ago to say that she's been informed that beginning Thursday, she and her companions will be considered a threat to national security and will be arrested. Coincidentally, Thursday is the day that Rice and Rumsfeld visit the ranch, and Friday is a fundraiser event for the haves and the have mores. Cindy said that she and others plan to be arrested.

The meetwithcindy.org web site seems to have been taken down. Do you have any more information for us about her and how she is doing and WHO it actually was who threatened to have her arrested?

It seems that all of our representatives are gone for the day, no one is answering the phones at either Nelson's office or Harris's office.

I want to know how she could be a threat to national security, on what grounds? If Cindy gets arrested you know this will be another freedom lost for us all. This has to get into the mainstream press it is her only hope and ours.

While I agree that we may have went to war for the wrong reasons. Cindy was not arrested as she claimed she was going to be. I cited this as a lie by her to gain more attention and I think we have been duped. This is the kind of bad politics that I wish the Democratic party would avoid using. Why drag yourselves to the Republican's level? Why play Chicken Little or the Little Boy Who Cried Wolf? I'll never trust her again.
