The resistance against right wing politics in USA is the most desirable event of our history.
I believe this trend should be globalised.
In 18th and 19th century European currents set some agenda that were aceepted by the people of their former colonies.
The situation is almost same today.
By continuous anti war as well as anti racist activism American activists have set a standard for the rest of the world side by side with their European comrades.
Hope to get new points on this issue.

We could use all the help you can muster. I am aware of the anti-American sentiment in the world, but most other Americans are not because it doesn't make "good news" here. Almost half of this country voted against Bush. Please don't hold all of us responsible for the actions of our government.

Asalaam-o-Alikum Mohammad. You are entirely correct in that neoconservatism is certainly nothing "new." The Brits and their colonization movement, were the forefathers of the current right-wing movement to bring "enlightenment" to the masses, and impose a Pax Americana on the world.
The mislabled "Third World" and its resources provide the same motivation and targets as they did for the Empire.
