FROM THIS DAY FORTH

Hey everyone, I haven't posted on here since February - only because I have been really busy as of late with som personal matters. For the past several months, I have payed much attention to the actions of the Bush Administration.

I have also been keeping track of this blog site, just haven't had time to post. Earlier today, I saw a post that said that this site has endorsed a boycott on the Washington Post. Well, I think it is high time that we punish all of these cowards in the media for their crimes. We must not waste another second of our time, nor another penny of our hard earned money on their criminal actions of distorting the truth and establishing a "State Media" through their corporate/financial backing of the One Party/Central Government ran by the Repugs !

I sent the following letter to MSNBC, CNN, Fox News, CBS, ABC and two local newspapers:

This is my formal declaration to you that I will no longer spend another moment of my life using the information that you provide. I’m also informing you that I will make it one of my top priorities to encourage as many people as I can to follow my lead. What is the reasoning for this boycott of your product? The death of an independent and free media.

It has become very evident to me and many others that the media is not (and has not for quite some time) seeking truth but profit instead. Years ago, before I was even conceived, the media was at least slightly reliable. However, since the Reagan Years, we have been force fed political propaganda/lies by you – the very people we depend on for information. The very fact that many of you out there believe the lie about the “liberal bias in the media” - or at least support it by repeating it to your peers – restrains you from actually seeking the truth and being “balanced” in your reporting.

What makes the current U.S. Media un-balanced? Well, for starters, the fact that three major corporate conglomerates (General Electric, Viacom, and Sinclair Broadcasting) own all the news outlets available. It also hurts the “independent media” rumor when the three media owners are all major political donors to - *gasp* - the Republican Party ! When I was a pre-teen, I used to believe the myth of the liberals running the media until Mr. Bush stole our Nation’s highest office with the very same media’s help.

Maybe I should’ve seen the signs much earlier, because it was the “liberal media” that tried to assassinate – at least in character - our 42nd President (Democrat William Jefferson Clinton). Remember the Monica Lewinsky Scandal and the countless millions that were wasted on the investigation and impeachment proceedings ? Or what about how our media did all they could to help defeat all attempts by Clinton to help expand healthcare to more Americans, by helping his Republican opponents label the plan for healthcare as part of a “big government agenda”.

I have no doubt in my mind that it was the media’s demonizing of the Democratic controlled Federal Government (1993-1995) that led to the Republican takeover of Congress in the 1994 Mid-Term Elections. This was in contrary to the fact that if the Democrats had not controlled the Legislative and Executive Branches in those two years, we may not have enjoyed the longest peacetime economic expansion in our history, a very low crime rate, low un-employment, low mortgage rates, increased minimum wage (which has remained unchanged since Republicans turned the tables), slightly decreased National Debt, Record Budget Surpluses and many other great things. The evidence of your true right-wing political bias is sickening as it shows through your hesitance to rally support for a program that helps the less fortunate as opposed to how you jump on a bandwagon to start the drumbeat for a war !

Since Bush was inaugurated as our most recent un-elected “president”, you have done all you can to push his agenda onto the public. Unfortunately, many fall for this giant web of deception, but not me. Within a month after the Great Election theft of 2000, your reporting of the facts diminished greatly, as you soon wrote off our cries for justice as being a part of a “demand from the sore-losers/whiney liberals”. This was repeated in 2004 with that theft, as you again labeled us as sore losers, and wrote off all the reports of fraud as being a “conspiracy theory”. During the entire 2004 sElection Campaign – starting with the Democratic Primaries – you did your best work in choosing who would win, through character assassination.

Like Howard Dean, after months of pre-maturely calling him the “front runner”, you take a ten second sound byte from a post Iowa Caucus speech of him and repeat his so-called “Scream Speech” over and over and over for two weeks straight, labeling him a mad-man and destroying his character.

You didn’t really cover Joe Lieberman, Bob Graham, Dick Gephardt, or Carol Mosely-Braun, because you all wrote them off completely. You mocked Al Sharpton’s campaign, saying that it wasn’t serious. The coverage of Wesley Clark’s attempt was unfortunate, because all you people looked at was his stature as a Retired General, and nothing about what he wanted to do as President.

What aggravated me so much about the primaries was the final three that I haven’t mentioned: John Kerry, John Edwards and Dennis Kucinich. I myself watched the campaign as close as I could – mainly through C-Span, and it was by watching the only truly unbiased channel out there that I became a huge supporter for Kucinich. I went to his website and discovered that I 100% agreed with everything he wanted to do as our hired “leader”. What did the “liberal media” do? You laughed at him, you made fun of how he looked and how he “had no chance in hell” of achieving the goal of residing at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Furthermore, you refused to cover his campaign at all which meant that the only chance anyone ever got to hearing his views was during the debates themselves!

Then there is the Kerry/Edwards “feud”/partnership. I decided to support Edwards if Kucinich and Dean failed, because he was next – after the former two – who’s views I agreed with. Unfortunately, you – the “liberal” media - did nothing but shout about how Kerry was the winner ever since the first Primary Election in Iowa! Edwards “two Americas” view was as true as the sky is blue, but all you idiots did was accuse him of being a pessimistic, unpatriotic Democrat, that was “trying to divide the country”. I know this was what you people were trying to do with Edwards great speech when you felt the need to repeat sound bytes of Governor Arnold’s Republican Convention speech where he basically ignored the whole point of Edwards’ speech and said that the American Soldiers “believe in ‘One America’ and they are fighting for it!”

Finally we have John Kerry, a Vietnam War Veteran with ties to the “centrist” Democratic Leadership Council. From the get-go, you began comparing him to the last Boston Nominee – Michael Dukakis, already claiming that although he had “slain” his primary competition, he would come up short against the “incumbent”. Then you aided Bush by helping to discredit Kerry on every front, mocking his plans for the economy, healthcare and especially the “war on terror”. After the Democrat’s Convention in June of 2004, you barely acknowledged anything the man said in his speech and instead criticized how he “sped” through it. Then in the two month “break”, you helped the “Swift Boat Veterans for ‘truth” break Kerry down into an Anti-American, Commie Bastard.

It was this “liberal media” that caused Kerry to “never recover” from the Swift Boat Attacks, and it was your mock coverage of Election Night throughout Inauguration Day that allowed another injustice to be done to the people of this nation. If the American Media was in any way, shape or form “liberal”, then Dennis Kucinich – the most liberal of the ten Democratic Candidates – would’ve been the Nominee and the 44th President of the United States!

No, I didn’t want to write you to just complain about the Election, I came to talk about why you can’t be trusted as our providers of information, which is why I must talk about what has happened so far this year.

In addition to the mockery of the Democrat’s demand for an investigation into the Election in Ohio, your overall coverage of this Administration and it’s questionable behavior has been tragic. You ignored the facts in the Downing Street Memo, calling it “old news” – frankly I don’t give a damn if it is old news, if it’s proof that my tax dollars were used to spread a lie and lead to the deaths of thousands of People, Americans or not, I WANT TO KNOW ABOUT IT – instead you chose to cover stupid stories about Michael Jackson, Paris Hilton, Britney Spears and the RUNAWAY BRIDE!

I have been watching C-Span for several weeks now, because they are the only reliable television news source. On one day that I was watching this channel, I witnessed a very repulsive occurrence. On Monday June 20th, 2005 – a Republican Congressman from Indiana blamed Democrats for being hesitant to deal with certain important issues but always quick to “attack Christians”, this prompted a Democratic Congressman from Wisconsin to demand that the “words be taken down”, this meant that the Republican Congressman’s comments would be reviewed and it would be determined whether or not he was out of line, if he was declared as being inappropriate, then he would be banned from speaking for the rest of the day. He was, in fact ruled as being out of line, but where – oh where – was the Media Coverage on this (and yes, I DID CHECK) ? It couldn’t be found anywhere, but when a Democratic Senator makes a statement about a report he had read with regards to a “detainment center”- the same media jumps all over it - he is slammed as hating the military and demands are made for his immediate apology – again I ask, is our media “liberal”? I THINK NOT!

So, from this day on, I will not contribute any more of my time – or money – to your product of “information”. You have allowed “freedom of the press” to translate into – “freedom to press opinions and single-minded views on the public to push an agenda for political gain”. Am I a “liberal”, yes, and DAMNED PROUD OF IT, and I hate our media. It can not be trusted anymore than the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea’s media can be. I will now depend on C-Span, Reuters, the Associated Press, and the collective sources throughout the internet for my information. Thank you for nothing, thank you for helping a fascist view of policy run things in this nation, thank you for not ensuring the safety and welfare of the current and future generations. Most of all, thank you for helping me realize what I need to do next.

Take Care and God Bless.

Sincerely,
An American Citizen who sees right through the fog of lies,
A True Christian who’s faith is based on actions and not words,
Daniel Harrison Crawford the Third
(end of letter)

I am also continuing my boycott of Wal-Mart which I have been involved in ever since this very site called for it back in November, it is my honest view that any corporation that profits off the suffering of any people, especially Americans, is an enemy of the people and should therefore be subject to a boycott - take back this nation, as Chairman Dean says - We have the power !

Take Care and God Bless

This letter says it all

I agree totally with your letter. I also agree with your opinion of Wal-Mart. I now will refer to the former "press" as the "su-press". I guess that it is time for me to go out and "demonize Christianity", whatever that means.Who ever gave the Republicans the idea that they had sole possession of all of the morality and virtue genes while we pagan Democrats were left to be so full of sin? Isn't vanity one of the seven deadly sins? I would choose humility, restraint, and moderation above all. The only media events from last year that you left out were the neverending funeral of the Great Communicator, President Reagan and the Bush Brothers with their tender distribution of water to the hurricane victims. Both of these were used to promote the Bush cause. I began to even believe that Reagan was one of our founding fathers. I can see him there on Mount Rushmore now.

Thanks

Thank you googa for the list, I'll copy and paste the letter to the entire list after work today.

Cleo, I did in fact forget about the Hurricanes and Reagan funeral, can't believe they slipped my mind - because I remember I was so irate last year when the news chose the coverage of the two over the "campaign", either way, these are dangerous times we are living in, and it his about time to shift the momentum back into the hands of the common man (and woman).

I'll be back after work, Take Care and God Bless.

Thank You for your letter....

I've made up my mind; I'm not really interested in anything the BushCo have to say of late. I believe its time to assess the last 5-years and just plain move forward w/ the 'hard-core' action towards shutting off BushCo regime.

I knew in 2000 that Bush and Company mission were to create a major shift in our economic and global policies and abuse power. They've had their chance to get it right and they haven't & they won't.

From now on --it's all 'up against the wall'...and the 'hard-push to drive them out'...nothing they say or do will change my mind --and I'm sure most smart Americans can see thru this 'shallow hell'.

There is nothing 'stupid of about GW Bush'; he's smart when it comes to 'deception and misleading' the nation.
