Maxine Waters Rocks Rainbow Push Convention: Denounces Bush Lies on War

Congress Member and House Judiciary Committee Member Maxine Waters (D., Calif.) shook up the Rainbow Push Coalition's 34th Annual Convention in Chicago today, winning huge standing ovations for a speech denouncing President Bush for lying about the war. Waters announced that she and other members of the Congressional Black Caucus plan to inform the House Democratic Leadership that they will introduce amendments on the issue of the war EVERY DAY from now on.
Waters told the crowd that Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean had received attention for criticizing the Republican Party in recent days, but that "he did not say enough."
"Bush is a liar," Waters said, according to an observer who phoned AfterDowningStreet.org. "He lied about weapons of mass destruction and he lied about the war."
Waters called Vice President Dick Cheney "a thief," and said that he was stealing for Halliburton.
And Waters said that Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice will "go anywhere and say anything they tell her to say, and have the audacity to do it with a smile."
...after which the applause grew too loud for our observer to hear the Congresswoman's remarks.

The Downing Street Memo
I just found this blog and love what I am reading!!! I am starting to get
really encouraged by the movement to get this stuff out in the public
domain regarding the Bush Crime Family. I spoke to a Vietnam Vet
today and he said this Iraq crap is eerily similar to Vietnam. The only
thing we are missing is the soundtrack.. So here is my contribution to
the conversation. I want to see a discussion thread about protest music.
The media, radio and tv have created a blackout. This is unacceptable.

When did the GOP become the party of the people, the party of diversity? The only diverse members who they find are people who will compromise their heritage and their roots to get that damn key to the executive bathroom. When was the last time Dick Cheney would even stoop to help a common man? Try NEVER. Howard calls it like he sees it and should be lauded for doing so. We Democrats can't let the Repugs divideus. A house or party divided can never stand or win an election. Let's not attack each other. Let us just adopt the chant, Downing Street, Downing Street. I want to see George's face when we put the 95 This's (Bushism) on the White House door.

Bush Needs To be Impeached
I think lying to the American People to go to war justifies high crimes and
misdeamnors. This President and vice president has the blood of all of our dead soldiers on thier hands because they planned this war. The Downing street memo proves it.
THIS IS IMPEACHABLE, BUT WE HAVE A REPUBLICAN CONTROLLED CONGRESS, A BUNCH OF FANATICAL NUTS WHO COME MID TERM WILL HAVE A HARD TIME GETTING RELECTED.
BUSH DOESN'T CARE ABOUT THEM SO WHY DON'T THEY UPHOLD THE CONSTITUTION THAT THEY HAVE BEEN USING AS TOILET PAPER AND DO WHAT IS RIGHT..IMPEACH THIS PRESIDENT AND HOLD HIM FOR WAR CRIMES.
