Joe Lieberman is the best argument for why Al Gore's defeat was a good thing. He's such a wimp! Oh yes Mr O'Reilly, you are wonderful and we're a bunch of liberal, immoral cissies, and Michael Moore is the worst. Can you imagine a Republican going on a Michael Moore show to criticise Rush Limbaugh? What an asshole. These moron Democrats who think going to the centre means crying out about the appalling state of the party don't realize that they play into the Repubs hands. If DEMOCRATS are seen to say we're too extreme (a laughable contention given the current Republican Party), the public will believe it and the centre ground will shift evermore rightward. Why do we need to nominate the party's right wingers? The Repubs nominate the person closest to the views of the base.  Lieberman delights in criticising the party as if it gives him some moral superiority.  You know Joe, when both sides said what a good and respectable running mate you were, it was a nice way of saying you were a TRULY shit candidate.  I saw him the other week claim he was 'very proud' of his 2000 debate against Cheney, especially for its civil tone.  That's great Joe.  Unfortunately the public judged by overwhelming numbers that you lost that encounter.  Democrats need some discipline.
