SEVIERVILLE, Tenn.

Dr. Graham Leonard, an East Tennessee educator who spent five weeks in Iraq with the 278th National Guard, will speak on “What I Saw and Learned in Iraq” at the Sevierville Civic Center, 7:00 pm, on Friday, May 13, 2005.

Dr. Leonard (who speaks fluent Arabic and has taught in the Middle East) will share his vivid day-to-day experiences while embedded as a journalist with the “Tennessee Peacemakers.”

This program is sponsored by the Sevier County Democratic Club as a public service to the community. Admission is free and all interested citizens are invited. Donations only to help cover expenses of Dr. Leonard's trip to Iraq will be accepted.

This town hall meeting is non-political and non-partisan. Audience members will be able to ask questions directly of Dr. Leonard. Families, friends, and members of the 278th are also invited to meet with Dr. Leonard after the program for first-hand reports on our soldiers serving in Iraq.
