Bush used Terri !!!

That no good chickenshit mutherfucker GW Bush took advantage of Terri Shiavos' passing this morning !!

In his condolance speech to her families , He managed to merge it into a spin about security and intelligence because the final report came out about WMD , the ticker at the bottom of the TV screen read " U.S.spy agencies flat wrong about WMD's " wasn't it Rumsfeld , Cheney, and Wolfowitz who screamed find something on Iraq ? wasn't it Kay who said they aren't here ? wasn't it Wilson who said there was no nuclear yellow cake deals , No the spy agencies didn't get it wrong , Those Neo-Con bastards who've been screaming for war since 97 have been outted as the war criminals they really are and they've got to throw the blame somewhere and it certainly won't be at themselves , and what a better time to slip in the blame game while the nation mourns the passing of this poor woman , This just makes me sick , My only solice is that when the time comes those fucks will rot in hell !!

#%$%^%&#@*^%$

&^*&*(ing son of (^(**&. He should be strung up by his %^%$##^.

They are self serving, opportunistic,

hypocritical jerks. GW is the leader of the pack!
He will use anyone and anything to get his way.
Their true colors are shining through.

You are right

You are right. He will do anything to win. He just gave 1 billion of our taxpayer's dollars to religious charities for one reason only - to get more votes for the Repugs. The hypocritical bastard.

How many days did it take him

How many days did it take him to come out and make a statement on the tsunami victims? Or offer his condolences to the families of the shooting victims in MN? But he was out there immediately commenting on the death of Terri Schiavo? He is a DESPICABLE man! And, btw, did any of you know about how he mocked Karla Faye Tucker prior to signing her death warrant when he was governor? I didn't, until recently. That should have been all over the news to show what a cruel person he really is.

did he respond

to the earthquake yet?

I don't think so!

I don't think so!

No!

No he did not say anything yet. I don't know if he will or not.

I don't think he will.

I may be wrong. He may mention it several
days from now. He's really an embarrassment
to our country.

its a mystery

If part of this country wasn't still in a fantasy - The Iraq war is succesful - Fantasy.... I would hope and submit that Dubyas approval would be in the teens or single digits, because for the life of me I dont know how a liar, fascist, fear monger, and an immoral bigot can have such a high approval rating.

Courage is the antidote to fear.

George was out there for the votes

George was on the television in record time to extend his condolences to Terri's family (minus of course Michael who doesn't count) because he has to please the Christian right voters who supported him. He didn't get any votes from the Minnesota reservation. He doesn't even care that there were children, a teacher, and a security guard killed. They don't count in his political world. He is a world class hypocrite probably the likes of which the world has never seen before. He played up to doctors about torte reform to get their votes. Now, he is in essence calling them liars or fools. Wake up America he is an opportunist. He doesn't care about anyone but his rich friends.

The Republican memo that circ

The Republican memo that circulated through Congress at the onset of this fiasco spelled out a goal to unseat a sitting Democrat in Florida. 'Nuff said...

Bush and DeLay...

sicken the 'average American'...using 'Terri Schiavo' medical issue (Terri's Law)---and the 'pathetic' speech Bush gave out today (Terri's death) --is beyond words.

new bumper sticker:

""CULTURE OF LIFE" another Bush/DeLay art form.

BRING ON THE CLOWNS

What a circus this is - now comes the clowns!

I can't believe it, but they're demonizing Mr. Schaivo. All he did was love her for as long as he could, and still does. Just because he had a family 7 or 8 years after his wife had the acident, he hung in there longer than most spouses for sure! But in the meantime he went to nursing school to help take card of his wife - most people wouldn't do that. He has to sneak into a side door at the hospice to visit with his wife, so he won't get booed and harrassed, and he's done nothing wrong. He stayed married to her til the end and that is no one's business but his!

It's the parents; they have their faces all over the media, when a camera comes into sight - they're right there. This is AFTER they claimed no more interviews - yeah, right! It just got worse! I turn them off as quick as I turn our moronic prez off when he gets on the screen. I can get lied to by anyone, anytime, I don't need him to sit in my living room lying his "brains" out to me. I see too many commercials for that, for sure! What a waste of space he is!!!

It is so sad...Jesse Jackson made me want to puke, I mean

has he lost it so much that even he took advantage of
this situation?

You can only use like Bush and
not reap what you sow,

Bush, the prodigal son will eventuall
pay for his transgressions. He really
think he is above man, Jesus, God, the one.
I expect now that Schiavo is on her journey to the light, over
the next few weeks or so, more angels
in heaven will benefit American people who
Bush pathetically appeases with his arrogance

Her husband is being demonized unfairly.
However her parents, other family members
are important. The entire situation should
not be so public. The entire family
is being used by Bush, but it just might
backfire.

In a way, I'm glad that Jesse

In a way, I'm glad that Jesse took up this cause because of what it illustrates. As much as Bush and the repugs tried to make it a wedge issue, they couldn't. The reason why they failed to do so is that it's not a party issue, as evidenced by the overwhelming majority against government interference.

Jesse did us a solid by doing what he did. For certain, he was wrong, but I believe he helped.

I know I mentioned Jesse was

I know I mentioned Jesse was wrong but I would have more to say later. Well it's later so here goes. I agree GM, Jesse muddied the waters and that helps in one big way: it's not a partisan issue. It has become a big government issue. Throw the bums in Washington out.

PLEASE REPEAT THIS AD NAUSEUM:

THE GOVERNMENT WILL NOW FORCE MEDICAL PROCEDURES ON CITIZENS.

I am just waiting to see how the Right will do this whilst still CUTTING overall medical care. It will surely stretch their evil imaginations!

After watching more catholic priests aid the evil of the Right I can only say I’m sickened. These “leaders” need to get out of their ivory towers and ACTUALLY help people!

Now that the Pope is facing a

Now that the Pope is facing a similar end-of-life situation, the Vatican is saying that his "advance directive" is to remain on a feeding tube for as long as it takes.

The ailing Pontiff sharply narrowed Catholic guidelines for treating patients nearing death in March 2004 when he described tube-feeding as a normal treatment rather than an extraordinary measure that can be stopped if all hope of recovery fades.

This indicates he would want to be kept alive by artificial means even if he fell into a coma or a persistent vegetative state, such as the brain-damaged Terri Schiavo in the United States whose feeding tubes have been removed after 15 years.

Let's hope the government res

Let's hope government respects the Pope's Advanced Directive.

Later edit: and by the way folks if someone yells at you that Terri never left the advanced directive the husband claimed then simply agree: "well that's different". Remember what fight we are fighting. We are NOT fighting the Terri Schiavo case. How can a political party member get involved with a court case without being privy to all the evidence? We are simply saying that Terri's wishes should be respected. In addition we are saying that the Right has politicized this case in order to remove everyone's gaze from a crumbling economy, defense, and health care system.

My view as a heathen

is that: this is the popes directive and it should be respected. But he is just a man, and not infallible. If the members of his church want to take this as a sign from God that this is how they should approach end of life issues, that's their problem.

It will not change what a persistent vegetative state is, and I think God left the miracle business long ago.

Bottom line is the Pope left

Bottom line is the Pope left an ADVANCED DIRECTIVE. They are using our terms. There is enough waste caused by Republicans to give everyone AND their pets full healthcare. I am not gonna argue with people about details. I also do not want the Right coming into the hospital with me and telling me what to do for the people I would happily die for if it could ease their pain or help them live. Americans can make those decisions for themselves.

As to the specifics you have spoken of Vince I thank you. My extended family and I have gone through things very crudely similar so I will be drawing parallels to our own lives in showing how heinous the Right's handling of Terri's case has been.

By the way, someone close to me who is a member of the Religious Right has mentioned out loud about whether they should be keeping their heart in such good shape! Meaning a heart attack isn't such a bad thing compared to a lingering illness. Parallels abound.

The public will have to be reminded

that the BA "stovepiped" the intelligence. The intelligence agencies didn't get it wrong, the intelligence information was mishandled by the BA.

I have long since come to believe that people never mean half of what they say, and that it is best to disregard their talk and judge only their actions.  Dorothy Day

GOP: Political Opportunists R Us

The paradox slaps you right in the face. W talks today about Terri (may she rest in peace) and erring on the side of life, taking life as last resort, etc., etc. Meanwhile, the report comes out saying our pre-war intelligence stunk and the administration should have been more careful before accepting it. While he uses the Shaivo affair as a chance for political pandering on "the right to life," he absolutely did NOT err on the side of life in March '03 when he launched a full scale war based on flimsy intelligence--without taking the necessary time to confirm it beforehand. So much for respect for life and death as a last resort!

And speaking of pandering, the #1 political opportunist in this affair is my freshmen senator, Rick Santorum, who doesn't live in Florida, doesn't know the Schindlers, and isn't a clergyman, but he somehow shows up in the family's tent Tuesday on the heels of the Reverend Jesse Jackson. This was reported in the Pittsburgh Post Gazette. This wsa no place for an out-of-stater who everyone knows is running for a challenging re-election and needs to shore up his base. I've got nothing against prayer--I believe in it--but this is not the time, nor place for Sen. Santorum to show up, have his photo taken for the media, etc. Accuse me of judging--so be it.

Reminds me of the line shot at Sen. Joe McCarthy not long before his censure: "Senator, have you no sense of decency?"

The world is choking on this one....

This is a quote from an article in Salon.com, made by GWBush, "I urge all those who honor Terri Schiavo to continue to work to build a culture of life where all Americans are welcomed and valued and protected, especially those who live at the mercy of others," he said.

"Where all Americans are welcomed and valued and protected,"?

What the !@#$%!!! WHAT about those children who go to school hungry every morning and remain hungry through lunch? WHAT about those who depend on medicaid to get them through the day, like my friend who has MS and cannot afford the medication, because her GREEDY employer fired her because of disability?!! WHAT about the quality of life?!! Anybody give a crap about the way people are made to live in this country? Hard working people who deserve nets and helping hands to keep them going and be productive.AAAHHHH I hate repukes!

Here in the land of milk and honey, can you believe this crap? ANYONE who follows the cult of Bush is a grade A IDIOT!

George Bush's Limited Definition of "Life"
by Dawn Baldwin

President George W. Bush insists that he'd rather err on the side of "life."

And to prove it, he champions the unborn and the brain-dead.

For the majority of the living, however, he plays very different odds.

When his policies expose hundreds of thousands of children to toxic levels of mercury, risking neurological disorders, disease, and death appears to be an "error" he's more than willing to make.

When his policies cut the Medicare benefits for millions who have to go without the preventive care, early detection, and medical treatment that would prolong and enhance their lives-"life" wouldn't appear to be his first concern.

When his policies withhold the information and resources necessary to prevent sexually transmitted diseases and unintended pregnancies, he's chosen to risk the deaths of teenagers, adults, orphaned children, and fetuses worldwide rather than acknowledge sexual activity as a natural, one might even say life-affirming human activity.
