I believe that Terri may be going to a far,far better place than we have ever known. I know that she will rest in peace. However, the lunatics are on the television again with Tom Delay making statements tnat could be interpreted as either veiled threats or subtle suggestions. This was never, ever about disability or not respecting life. The judicial system heard the facts and made a decision. I think that the AMA needs to come forth and question the credentials of the doctors who were experts for the Schindler family. Some physicians will say anything for money. We are human and have many complex emotions. However, we are also blessed with the ability to think. Someone needs to get this message out before we see the end of all reason.

Now I'm going to the local nursing home and beat some old geezers with a crowbar until they die with dignity. Terri Schiavo was a good person rest in peace terri

Thankfully, Terri's wishes were carried out despite death threats by the fascist mentalities of right wingers and the totalitarian impulses of the Bush regime. Her husband and the judicial system are true heroes for having stood up to such insanity and respecting her wishes despite vile threats and slander.

Now America will have an opportunity to see the true face of evil that comprises the right wing persona. Already, on chat boards, their hatred is driving them to new lows as they gnash their teeth in frustration at not having been able to claim a ghoulish victory over the tragedy of Terri Schiavo.

Even in children's books, the story is always very clear. When you summon a demon to do your bidding, sooner or later you lose control of it and everyone suffers for it including the person who summoned it. I believe that we should call it the hypocritic cult. Delay wants to bring down all of the judges before he gets indicted. Then, he can ask King George to rule in his case or send it to Congress. I think that the founders of this country must be rolling over in their graves to see how lost and confused many of our citizens are. I would like to see the Dems push education on the right to die. I am still saddened by Kevorkian's imprisonment. Enabling people to live and die with dignity should be a focal point of the Schiavo case. It should focus on communication between family members and official paperwork to enforce wishes.
The real crime here is that we had to starve a woman to death just to carry out her last wishes. That is a travesty. Where is our Jeb and Jesse to discuss the inhumane treatment we can legally force ourselves into if we become incapacitated?
Did anyone else listen to the comments that Jesse Jackson was making? I could have sworn he was discussing the fact that Teri had to be starved to death, instead of forcing her to remain alive in a state she would have preferred death over.
Also, this case was yet another attempt by the Repugs to destroy the freedom of the individual and our right to choose our own fate.

why is it legal and justified to put an animal out of his/her misery by euthanasia,
