More Eligible Voters Didn't Vote in 2004!!!

Bush: 62,027,582 votes. Kerry: 59,026,003 votes. Number of eligible voters who didn't show up: 79,279,000 (NYT, Dec. 26, 2004). That's more than a third. Way more. If more than a third of Iraqis don't show for their election, no country in the world will think that election legitimate.

But

the NYT has not earned a reputation for accurately reporting anything about our elections in the last 4-5 years, so I have to disregard that information.
According to accumulated information by those investigaing the 2004 election, there is no way anyone can say how many votes were cast.

I have long since come to believe that people never mean half of what they say, and that it is best to disregard their talk and judge only their actions.  Dorothy Day

Men Love Hillary

Anthony Lembo
Senator Clinton will be a formidable candidate in 2008. The political pundits don't emphasize the sex appeal this gifted woman has towards men. They said JFK had charisma for both men and women, instead Hillary is both loved and admired on both sides of the political spectrum. Even an old humorist Art Buchwald in a public interview unabashedly admitted he was in love with Hillary. As long as Hillary does not show any affection for her disgraced husband in public, if she does, it will certainly hurt her chances of getting the Democratic Presidential nomination. Hillary must leave the impression to the millions of both Republican and Democratic men that she is open, and her hands are held out to the love and admiration they feel for this wonderful woman.

First of all, Bill Clinton

First of all, Bill Clinton is not disgraced, except in the minds of those who drink the neocon Kool Aid. Secondly, Hillary is an adequate Senator, but is definitely not presidential material.

Hillary, and the rest of her DLC Republican-Lite "centrists" are the main cause of the Democratic Party's lack of appeal to the middle-American voter. It is difficult to see the difference between the neocons and the DLC-ers.

Today's lead cartoon over at Bartcop says it all

about Bill Clinton.
