GEORGE BLESS AMERICA
Lobbyists join corporate America in "soft money" funding of the second inauguration which is expected to cost $40 million. Two-thirds of the country thinks that sum is too lavish (the BBC has a look back at our inaugural history). Without doubt, $40 million will not erase George's legacy.

Question...
I read in this morning's Seattle P.I. that security personnel had sealed all the manholes in the vicinity of the inauguration. Apparently, they don't want anyone popping out of the sewer. But, if that's the case, how is Bush supposed to GET TO the inauguration?
Ha,Ha!!
A couple of fundies at work were all excited to watch B.'s speech today and they were saying how beautiful Laura looked and how happy they were....I couldn't help but think of those bright, shiny, big smiling faces that I saw in the documentary on the History channel the other day....so excited to be cheering Hitler on and to see him gaining power.
Also this morning on GMA Cokie Roberts was so happy about Bush having the inaugural proceedings near Congressional headquarters instead of the Whitehouse as a symbol of how he wants to work and cooperate with Congress.....then I was reading Amy Goodman's interview with Seymour Hersch about how Bush is having Rummy work with the Pentagon instead of the CIA so they can avoid Congressional oversight for their black ops. As usual everything public is for SHOW and opposite of what they are really doing. Amy says, "According to Hersh's article, the president has authorized the Pentagon to send secret commando forces into as many as 10 nations in the Middle East and South Asia. These forces could potentially carry out combat operations or even terrorist acts." Let's see, does this remind you of anyone?? Can we say HITLER.
BTW, when they were saying how beautiful Laura is, I pointed out that all the First Ladies get better as they learn to do their hair better and find their style.....and one of them started spewing totally vitriolic stuff about Hillary -- I was like -- geez.....Of course, I didn't think of it until now to mention former First Lady Barbara Bush....I'll take Hillary over her any day!!!! But I thought, what about Hillary's intelligence and her brilliant speaking ability and promotion of programs for the common folks -- and BTW, the same lady was going off about how bad Medicare was for her aging parents the other day --- sheesh, she has no clue how that is connected to Bush and repugs.
Tell her
Tell her that she should check into getting private insurance for her parents................oh wait there is a small problem there, they don't want to insure anyone over 60... oh well, her president will think of something to help them out.

Inauguration for the unelected King
I guess Kings are not elected anyway, I guess we can say that November 2, 2004, and now January 20, 2005 are two of the sadest days in our recent history. We don't need to look very far to know that his speech was full of nothing but lies because that is how he speaks. I am very disappointed that he didn't get egged again, and that his inauguration was not disrupted as the 2001 inauguration. Of course this time they might as well have declared Marshall Law in Washington DC for the Kings inauguration. As far as Laura Bush, and Lynne Cheney, they can look as good as they won't but the are the most arrogant ignorant woman in royalty that I have every known. They are just as bad as their husbands. Hillary was smart, and knew what she was talking about. These protests, and our necessity to stand and fight against the King is no more than over, we have four more years of tyranny to stand up to, and instead of them singing G-d Bless America, they should have been singing, G-d Save America. We know Barbara Boxer is going to stand up for us, perhaps she is our starting point in the Senate to stop this regime from passing their agenda. She should be the senate minority leader, we don't need some pseudo democrat like Reid to lead a party that needs to filibuster everything Bush proposes.

I just cant help laughing
I just can't help laughing at "Don't buy a Used Car from this man" picture of Bush, dont buy anything that comes out of his mouth is what it should say. But I must add that this man makes our country look like fools, and he is a poor excuse for a human being.

The arrogance is hard to believe
Or is it just Bush's fantasy life has completely taken charge?
The last paragraph pretty much sums it all up for me.
The latest poll this morning has 52% of Americans saying the war is not worth it. I wonder what it will take for the majority of Americans to open their eyes?

America, and the Promise Land drifts away
I was going to write this last night, and I was too tired...
Our forefathers created a country that they envisioned optimism and hope. They left us with the Constitution and the Bill of Rights; any changes to either document were to improve life in the United States, not to take rights away. With a president that thinks that the rules and laws don’t apply to him the foundation of our government crumbles. I don’t know exactly what the future holds for sure, and neither do we, but I feel that we are in for a very rough ride until this TERRIBLE man is no longer in power. We have to Refuse and Resist www.refuseandresist.org and stand up for our rights, make sure we are heard. If we genuinely value the commitment to moral dignity, worth, and equality of each person, lip service to the ideal is not enough. We must also actively resist participation in social practices that conflict with the ideal. That by itself is a way to assist in the betterment of the world we live in. If we want to save our country we must stay and fight, or we can run to Canada and seek political asylum, because it is possible that this regime will suspend elections in 2008 if they feel they can get away with it. Finally the Bible stuff must go, its going to tear the World apart, and apparently Dubya already had a prayer today for his inauguration, he only applies parts of the Bible of Philosophy that he agrees with.
Courage is the antidote to fear.
