Looks like we're going to war with Iran

Semore Hirsh (Sorry about the spelling) was talking with Chris Matthews, and Chris asked, Why are we attacking countries that have nuclear weapens when we have them ourselves, and Semore said, President Bush wants to spread democracy in the world.  If I'm not mistaking, that sounds like something Hitler would say.

Exactly! Hilter also claimed

Exactly! Hilter also claimed to be on a divine mission...

"I beg to dream and differ from the hollow lies"

Replace the word "democracy"

Replace the word "democracy" with "Christianity" and he's close to the truth. Hitler also had a perverted view of spreading religious purity.

I hope we make it

With Dubyas outlook on our future, and his goals in the next four years to attack Iran, we are going to start what has already been predicted by Nostradomous WWIII the west versus east, the holy nuclear war, the total annihilation of existence. The antichrist is living in our whitehouse.

Courage is the antidote to fear.

Iran

In my opinion Iran was the greater threat all along. Iraq had a horrible dictator who modeled himself after Joseph Stalin, used chemical and biological weapons, paid Palestinian suicide bombers, muredered hundreds of thousands of people and started two unprovoked wars. But let's face it he was no threat to us. Iran on the other hand supports Islamic fundamentilists, is a threat to the U.S. and is attempting to build a nuclear bomb. They were the threat all along. Unfortunately our troops are tied-up in Iraq and we have no "street cred" in the rest of the world, so are hands are tied.

I would expect..

a domestic terrorist attack by some Iranians prior to the invasion, which will make a draft acceptable. Prior to Hitler's invasion of Poland some dead soldiers were found with polish military uniforms. Prior to Stalins purges there was an assassination of one of his enemies which he blamed on his other enemies. It might look a little fishy but only 'crackpots' will say so.

US military plays cat and mouse game over Iran

This sounds scary. Any guesses as to what Bush is up to?

New York, NY, Jan. 26 (UPI) -- The U.S. Air Force is playing a dangerous game of cat and mouse with Iran's ayatollahs, flying American combat aircraft into Iranian airspace in an attempt to lure Tehran into turning on air defense radars, thus allowing U.S. pilots to grid the system for use in future targeting data, administration officials said.

What is Bush up to?

"What is Bush up?"

In Pat Buchannon's book: "How the Right got it Wrong," he outlines the plan of a group of neoconservatives that have stolen the keys of the White House after 9/11, which calls from using US military supremacy to A) build a buffer around Isreal - with Iraq and Syria as steps 1 and 2, and B) remake the world in the image of post WWII Germany, where friendly puppet governements replace unfriendly ones.

What is odd, is that the problems in Iran come down to the US helping to dis-place a democratically elected governement there and replace it with a dictator known as the Shah. It was hatred for this last brutal puppet that made the people rise up in a revolution in the first place.

Now the Bush administration plans to try to put another puppet regime in power in Iran, despite the fact that the people themselves are working hard to build their own democracy. Iran strive to build nuclear weapons is based on the need for survival, to ward off an Axis and Evil strike.

Attacking Iran will only drive the nuclear program underground, and give bitter incentive for those nuke programers to help the terrorists, for when you drop bombs and destroy, people die, and people are generally friends, family, and lovers.

We are all doomed unless congress gets a back-bone and prevents the looming tradegy in Iran. Bush knows he has to act soon, which means in the first few weeks after the Iraqi elections, and his speech in the State of the Union should clearly outline his goals and hint of a time-table.

While we see Iraq for the disaster it is, these neo-cons see it has a great success, with only a policing problem. I expect the draft to used to fill these policing problems in Iraq, Syria, and Iran once the war commences.
