Van Jones

As a Democrat, I am appalled, and embarassed by Van Jones remarks. How dare he? Is this the best our party can do? Is this person really and truly reflecting the President and his ideals? Calling people A--holes?

Hey Van--you are a public servant, nothing more. You shouldn't forget it. I thought this administration would govern with dignity and intelligence. This is a disgrace. I don't care how deeply you disagree with someone, calling them vile names makes you look like the idiot.

For shame, Van Jones. And for shame, every second that goes by without someone above him not condemning his ridiculous and obscene behavior.

Ramesh, Were you embarrassed when

Ramesh, were you appalled and embarrassed when Glenn Beck called President Obama a racist? For shame, Glenn Beck, for shame.

The question is relevant because of the source of the video to which you're referring; the source is "Defend Glenn.com," as published by Fox News. That's the group formed in opposition to James Rucker's Color of Change, which to date has successfully encouraged 57 advertisers to withdraw commercial sponsorships from Glenn Beck's program.

And then David Swanson's book, "Daybreak: Undoing the Imperial Presidency and Forming a More Perfect Union" trumps Beck on its first publication day.

No doubt Glenn Beck is having a hard time - of his own making.

What's the age old phrase? About the truth hurting?

Yahoo's call for Van Jones' assassination

I was elated to hear of Van Jones' comments and his "Audacity of Truth". Later I did a key word search on yahoo using Van Jones, and almost all of the returns on page one were from FOX News. On the right hand border of those returns was a prominently featured ad, offering to provide Van Jones' private phone number and his home address. So here we have yahoo engaging in the same sort of behaviour as those anti abortion web sites, featuring death wish lists. I sent an email to the White House website last night, alerting them to this threat, and it appears that their response was to ask for Jones' resignation.

Just when it seemed we had found a Democratic hero, not afraid to stand up to Republicans, they pulled the rug out from under him. It's OK for Limbaugh, Hannity, Beck, Savage, and other Republican Nazis to spew the most inflamatory BS imaginable. Yet if you're a Democratic party member, don't you dare utter anything that might upset the Nazis, even if it is the truth.

As for 9/11, it is obvious that Demorcats are happy to play a role as co-conspirators in the murder of 3,000 American lives, all for the sake of ExxonMobil's profit. While I will be unsubscribing from all email alerts from Democratic sources, I'd like to wish you Dems the best of luck. Don't concern yourselves with any of that silly "liberty and justice for all."  Instead, make sure you wear your stinking flagpins made in China as proof of your affilliation with fascism, and put a little extra enthusiasm into that next BJ you give a corporate CEO.

Jones was half right

He should have said both parties were a$$holes.

Don't get upset when things don't work, just be amazed when they do!
