Karl Rove, former deputy chief of staff and senior adviser to President George W. Bush, will speak in Denison's Swasey Chapel.

Sponsored by Denison’s College Republicans, this event is free and open to the public.

At the White House, Rove oversaw the Offices of Strategic Initiatives, Political Affairs, Public Liaison, and Intergovernmental Affairs and was deputy chief of staff for policy, coordinating the White House policy-making process.

Since resigning from that post in 2007, Rove has been a columnist for Newsweek and The Wall Street Journal, and a contributor for Fox News.

Before Rove became known as "The Architect" of Bush's presidential campaigns, he was president of Karl Rove & Co., an Austin, Texas-based public affairs firm that worked for Republican candidates, nonpartisan causes and nonprofit groups. His clients included more than 75 Republican U.S. Senate, Congressional and gubernatorial candidates from 24 states.
