At this historic turning point -- as we grapple with the sustainability of our markets, our health care, our energy and our leadership role in the world -- William Greider's new book, Come Home, America: The Rise and Fall (and Redeeming Promise) of Our Country, challenges us all to answer fundamental questions. Will the myriad of crises sink the American people deeper into alienation, or propel citizens to engage their government and shape our future?

Join legendary author and journalist William Greider in a discussion of his latest visionary book as we seek to spark a new populism that will steer America toward safer shores.

Come Home, America: The Rise and Fall (and Redeeming Promise) of Our Country, is William Greider's fireside chat with the American people, preparing us for difficult times ahead, pointing us to a brighter future. Kirkus Reviews proclaims, "Greider's moment, though, may have arrived. Given the current, gloomy circumstances ... it's more difficult than ever to argue with his analysis, and he's surely correct that 'in crisis lies opportunity.'"

As we may be at the precipice of a new populist era, "historians may point to" Greider's latest "as one of the prairie fire's first sparks" Kirkus concludes.
