Social Security Alert
I know everyone is excited about health care, energy and education reform; and rightfully so. However, people that have any interest in retirement for themselves and/or family members need to immediately take notice of the social security agenda being discussed behind closed doors. Republican Senator Mitch McConnell was clearly disappointed that President Obama didn't publicly elaborate about it during the recent address to the joint sessions of Congress.
On the Whitehouse.gov website, it clearly states that it is not fair or necessary to raise the retirement age. Yet, do we know if President Obama's budget director leans toward reducing benefits and raising retirement age? Of course, we all know that the republicans have never and will never like any entitlement program and are pushing Budget Director Peter Orszag to reign in entitlements.
I don't know about you, but I've consistlently paid into these funds on a weekly basis since I was 16 years old. I should earn the promised payout.

Orzag should find all the IOU borrowers and make them pay it
If I was Peter, I would find all the IOU holders and make them pay them back. It's been almost thirty years, and we, are demanding our money back as the bankers who borrowed from it are raising rates. We could use the money NOW PLEASE, and WE won't take a check, direct deposit will do, thank you.
You betcha! It was the Republicans in charge then Reagan and Big Bush for 12 years of IOU's to the PEople. We will take that from the Republican Party funds thank you.
Your president borrowed it, you have to pay it. You broke it you own it.
