We did it, yep, the second american dream, owning a business.

We started 4 years ago and each year we have improved our business. Today we where hit with our real estate bill and it has increased by one thousand dollars.

Everyone knows and has felt their property values  decreased.  Starting and owning a small business has been fun and you sure put in alot of sweat but we keep hearing all about our governments helping small businesses and we haven't seen nor recieved any help, you can not even find out what our governments can do to help.

After speaking to other small business owners we have found that the taxes that we all pay are too high. Some have closed up, some are just walking away, some like us will lose our business, our home and then what?

I am a veteran, I have served our country, I have worked hard and to allow our governments to run me and others out of business and home is just plan and simple crazy.

Our governments do not operate within a sensable budget, they over spend, over pay and keep wanting more and more. I say they should operate within the means of our city with our people (citizens) in mind first.

This is how we run our business. With what we have not with what we can get. We only buy / purchase what we need. Our office desks are about 15 years old and are not made of real wood, we use 30 year old file cabinets.

Yes, our city, county, state and federal governments operate way out of what is truely needed.

As I look for that small business help that we keep hearing about and maybe decide to just walk away from my business and lose everything maybe, just maybe someone else can pay those large taxes.

So much for the hard work and the american dreams.
