Introduction

Hi, My name is Esther and I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm retired and living near Ludington. I've been here for about four year, but was raised in Detroit ages ago. I wanted to get in touch with other democrates in my area and learn how we can help President Obama now that he is in office?

I guess this is the one forum I might get away with Democrats and republicans. Or do we just refer to them as "the other guys".

there is probably a list of rules around here just to answer those awkward questions.

President Obama has set a new tone in our government, one
that follows JFK's famous

"ask not what your country can do for you--ask what you can do for your country."

Unlike GW Bush, who suggested we " go shopping",
Obama is asking all of us to pitch in and get involved in our
communities.

Thanks for the welcome. I'm feeling left out lately. Does anyone know if change.gov going to be updated?
I have a great idea for solving a big chunk of our economy problems and I don't know where to post it that President Obama's people might hear about it. At least at change.gov I felt like there was a good chance if a good idea came up that somehow he would hear about it.
Do you know what sites his team are still keeping up? o

oh, I just reopened my Facebook account and I've check into change.gov, barackobama.com and his Facebook and Myspace accounts. It all feels old.
