Vote on Jan. 5th for the Animal Rights Cause in Second Place on Change.gov
An artist friend, Ginette Callaway, has put her animal rights cause called, "Stop the Live Skinning of Animals Everywhere", on change.gov for President-Elect Obama to consider funding it. These causes are being voted for and hers has landed in second place. The second round of voting will start on January 5th (this Monday), and she is asking people everywhere to consider her cause as very important and to please vote for it. The final 10 causes will be presented to President Obama on Inauguration Day. Thank you very much for any help you can give by voting. Also I hope I'm not stepping on boundaries to post this here! I know there are so many things to consider right now.
Here is her plea and her links:
UPDATE:
My cause
"Stop The Live Skinning Of Animals Everywhere"
http://www.change.org/ideas/view/stop_the_live_skinning_of_animals_everywhere
has placed 2nd in all the Animals Rights causes.
First I want to thank everyone that voted !
Thank you from the bottom of the animals hearts!
Here is what we need to do now!
Starting January 5th we will enter the final round.
All scores will be set to zero and all the first round winners will have to compete against each other.
I am an artist and for the time being I have put my painting career on hold and I am promoting my cause full time.
I need your help.
Besides voting for my cause starting Jan 5th (Mark Your Calendar) I need you to forward the link to my cause page to everyone and anyone you know. Place it in blogs, facebook pages, networking sites.
If you know someone in the media let them know about it.
If we can and yes we can let us bring some media attention to this!

You have my vote and support,PatriotMom.
I will mark the calendar for January 5th to vote on this.
We are making small strides against animal abuse.
Prop. 2, which requires farm animals have enough room
to spread their wings, and even lay down in a cage,
( many couldn't before!) passed with a large margin
here in CA.
Happy New Year to you, PatriotMom and to
everyone here.
:-)
Thank you for your vote, Kwahlf!
Hi Kwahlf, thank you so much for your vote for this issue! Yes, I voted for Prop.2 here in California. Ginette lives in Georgia and decided to support her cause with great enthusiasm! I'll email Ginette about your positive comment.
Within the Animal Rights area of change.gov there seems to be some pushing and shoving going on. I don't think Ginette was prepared for that part of it all. There are many extremists out there who want to be on the top of the hill. I thought it was great she came into second place, but others don't think so, because they want to be there instead. It's great to hear positive thoughts instead of slander and negativity.
Thank you for voting for this cause today.
Ginette asked me to thank everyone who reads this post and votes for her cause at change.gov. She said she's grateful for your support. I think her idea is good because she has a simple but seemingly effective plan to promote animal welfare. I urge people to read her plan and decide for yourself.
