Message to Steve Hildebrand: Don't go Hatin'
The more things change, the more they stay the same. From Steve Hildebrand, openly gay and on Obama's election campaign (possible consideration for DNC chair):
I could go on and on. The point I'm making here is that our new president, the Congress and all Americans must come together to solve these problems.
Sounds good so far, doesn't it? Then he trips on his big, fat, two-faced lips:
This is not a time for the left wing of our Party to draw conclusions about the Cabinet and White House appointments that President-Elect Obama is making. Some believe the appointments generally aren't progressive enough. Having worked with former Senator Obama for the last two years, I can tell you, that isn't the way he thinks and it's not likely the way he will lead. The problems I mentioned above and the many I didn't, suggest that our president surround himself with the most qualified people to address these challenges. After all, he was elected to be the president of all the people - not just those on the left.

Are we sure this man isn't a Palin? I swear, sometimes people should just sit down and shut up. I'd like to point out the obvious for Mr. Hildebrand:
1) Obama ran on a campaign of unity, yet here he is marginalizing a specific group of what the PE would call 'Americans'; and
2) Of all the people in the world, I should think Mr. Hildebrand would understand what words that are meant to cause division can do to society.
I gotta tell ya: I had eight long years of this kind of hate and someone promised me change. I hardly think Mr. Hildebrand was listening.
Yoo Hoo, Mr. Hildebrand: Progressives aren't 'left.' Greens are 'left.'
Learn something, will ya?
And stop hating!

Lootie, that's the DLC
Lootie, that's the DLC influence (you know, the group of neocons who think Howard Dean is a left-wing extremist).
Being ever optimistic, I just hope Obama has brought these Republican-Lite "centrists" into his fold in order to contain them. If they buck him too much, and he has to fire them down the road, at least they're out of the game until the next elections.
But, I've been wrong before...
A wooden stake
Someone needs to haul one out and put that vampire out of its misery. Obama's campaign was not about sectioning people off, labeling them, and putting them in a corner. That's what Hildebrand is trying to do, and I should think that if we tried to do that to him he would squeal like a stuck piggy.
Funny. This last election proved...
...that Republicans, Democrats, and Independents think that:
-decent incomes for hard work
-thoughtful military policy
-etc
ain't bad ideas.
Yet some "leaders" still feel the need to feed extremists with propaganda they'll enjoy.
HELLO! Over here. Working majority here.
Obama, a Clinton wanabe?
Eight years of Clilntonian neo-liberalism, followed by eight years of illicit neo-con fascism, and now were back to Clinton neo-liberalism again. Is this the best we can do and hope for? Hopefully Obama will find better influences for a Cabinet.
The proof will be in the pudding.
We can only hope.
