I had a little time on my hands so I thought that I would send put out a final postbefore we all cast our votes in a few days. Election fatigue seems to be starting to set in on my wife and I. It’s been a long eight years for me politically speaking. I have seen the country that I love being drained of many of the dreams that I thought the American people and their country deserve and could put forth as a model to the rest of the civilized world reduced to the butchering privatization and profit mongering of every aspect of our government. This attitude has even caused everyday citizens to think that they should take part in this over-speculation by way of their personal capital and reserves based on loose credit pumped into our economy because it was the only way to keep things going because

we don’t make anything anymore!!!

Thank You NAFTA-GAFTA-WTO, Bill Clinton, the Republican Party and Sellout Democrats!!

Well we can see how that turned out. Mortgage foreclosures at a record not seen since the great depression.  And this supposedly Democratically controlled congress is a joke!!! Nancy Pelossi and Harry Reid are a couple of whooses that have let the Republicans threaten philibuster against them at every turn AND GIVE IN instead of letting them Go ahead and philibuster and show the rest of the country how they are tying up the government.  But noooo!! Instead they roll over to every Bush/Rove dictate!! -----------God Bless Senator Waxman and Sanders for holding their own!!!------

Well enough of this rant anyway. My family and my friends don't want to hear anymore either.   So I decided to read and educate myself. Boy what a surprise I found at every turn.  What are the options! Then the power players start giving their endorsements. Some of them are acceptably helpful and some not so helpful. In any case the selections to me seemed to be very tragic for both parties.

(You have to understand that I voted for Ross Perot.)

I have to give Hillary Clinton a lot of credit for the fight that she put up but she was fighting an uphill battle because of Bill Clinton sticking his sorry nose into her campaign affairs. She is more that he could ever hope to be.

Well here are the choices. Hmmm. I like Oscar. And yes I like Ms. Piggy. But their counterparts are very discouraging.

But wait KERMIT THE FROG my favorite guy!!! 

That does it. I don’t care if he voted for the renewal of the patriot act and the bail out package. (Which I think is a joke! ---Hey nothing like stealing the china as you’re leaving the White House.)  I’m going for Kermit!!!!!!! 

[Johnson privatizing Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae to pay for the Vietnam War---another joke---we wouldn’t be bailing them out if they left it like Roosevelt had set it up. The profits would have been in a government fund to shore up the institution instead of going to stockholders and CEO’s. and would prohibit sub-prime mortgage security speculation notes.]

So next I start listening to debates and discussions. WOW this could lead to PTSD and a change of religion or worse yet a realignment of friends and relatives. NO I’m not going to let this verbal diarrhea affect my common sense and love of my fellow man. Not yet anyway! So I realize that the only way any of these people will do anything that is decent is to hold their feet to the fire. That means that the election is just the start. We have to hold these elected officials accountable for their actions.

 We haven’t done so in the past and as a result you are starting to see some strange bedfellows looking for a change. American citizens are getting desperate. What we have is not working no matter what you’re belief system happens to be!!!

I realize that this cartoon is a bit of a stretch but all of us are finally waking up to what is posssible and can really work. Obama is a good man!!!

My family is not going to change too much and have been the same way for many years. But it seems a lot of America is changing now. It has taken some pain but it is changing.  I just hope that it will not be too much overload for a lot of people and that they will put out the effort to inform themselves and pursue the ongoing events of their government in an involved way. Hey-----I work for a postal contractor and I am out of town three days a week and yet I can find the energy and time to preserve, defend, and input on the way of life for our country in an intellectual and investigative fashion; void of sound bites, gut personality choices, (hey I’d like to have a beer with a guy like that) , and follow the crowd influences!

Talk about overload!! In a lot of places in Europe they have outlawed putting political posters up on buildings and public structures and have designates locations where people can view these things. They have really gotten involved in some of the developed western countries.

They were all inspired by us!! (The USA)

Anyway God bless all of you and I pray that you all get out and vote!!!
