Let’s Bring an Anti war Presence to “Fabulous Phoenix July 4 Celebration” (largest free fireworks show in the valley)!

We're not having any organized protest but join dozens of us walking around the Park, talking with neighbors, registering voters, watching the fireworks, and wearing identical T-shirts, which declare on front:

Meeting Place open between 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.
Obtain your T- shirts ($8 all sizes) and voter registration forms by the anti-war banner and table on the public sidewalk in front of the Indian school entrance (by Third Street) to the park.

Bring water to drink and sun protection. Park in nearby residential areas.

Street Closures: Central Avenue between Osborn and Campbell and Indian School Road between 7th Street and 7th Avenue will be closed beginning at 5 p.m. on event day. During the fireworks, 7th Street will be temporarily closed between Highland and Indian School Road and will be restricted until event traffic clears after the festival.

In case of an attack on Iran, we will meet at 5:00 p.m. the day after the attack at the corner of 24th Street and Camelback in Phoenix and at the corner of Mill and University Avenue in Tempe.

Come to the weekly End the War Coalition meetings and help plan future protests against the Iraq war and occupation. The night of the above event) the End the War Coalition meets every Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m. in the basement of Grace Lutheran Church, 1124 North 3rd Street, Phoenix.
