Mellisa Bean's inability to see what she MUST do as a Congressional representative.

Representative Bean seems unable to understand what her responsibilities to us are. If she cannot or will not do what is necessary, she must be replaced. Does anybody out there agree?

Melissa Bean

I agree tazman08 and I have been fighting Bean every step of the way.  I have sent numerous letters to her, emails and phone calls and she still is with Bush on everything.  She reminds me of McShame/Lieberman.  I have written and called to the Democratic organization of district 8, asking why she is not confronted with this voting record and I have received no response. She was a republican previous to winning this district, so she has not changed.  She is a Republican in our beloved Democratic coat!

8th district

It's probably too late this year, but maybe the progressives in the district can get together and either:

1. put together a search committee to both find a good progressive candidate to run against her in 2010, and get some sort of fund raising going for such candidate- make it a two year campaign to unseat her in the primary.

or

2. Same as above but have the candidate run as an independent- this would probably mean losing the seat to a republican for at least one term, but then again if she votes with the republicans so much it might not be much of a loss, particularly if the dem's pick up some seats this November.

Melissa Bean, Bushie wanna be

I have spent so much energy trying to inform this idiot of her responsibilities to the Constitution, much less trying to remind her that she is supposed to be in the democratic party, not a cog in the neocon right wheel. She needs to go, pure and simple. I am ashamed to say that I voted for her when she first ran for office, a mistake Ill never make again. I voted against her in the recent primary, but unfortunately, not many people really look at how these representatives comport themselves once they are in office. People would be amazed at how horrible a representative this person has turned out to be. It is truly a shame.

California Congresswoman Maxine Waters 35th District

Congresswoman Waters has not supported impeachment due to her connections with the Bahamas, her husband was an Ambassador there at one time. The Bush administration has helped numerous Florida and Texan resort and hotel builders, his friends basically build there since he got in, and it is still going on and will be for years. Although there are basically no women rights in this nation and Bahamians are not allowed to gamble in casinos they may partly own (shares) and work at. She has too many ties to this nation and obviously feels that this is the way to proceed for their future. I would think women should have rights in this nation first and foremost before growth would be considered as the women of this nation make up a huge part of the workforce. However, this is ignored to benefit gambling casinos, hotel owners, resort owners and famous friends of other famous people, such as Tiger Woods (sorry Tiger but it is true). In 2005, I was sent a letter from the US Embassy stating that sexual arrests were rare there. Yet our people here are not speaking up for victims of our own, never mind the Bahamians. In my opinion, Ms. Waters is supporting the wrong issues while supporting Pres. Bush. I do not live in California so I will post what my Congressperson told me also in the next comments. Please remember the Bahamas does have those hidden bank accounts for US tax evaders, and our Pres. knowing this did not seem to care about this subject as others do, and we are all footing the bill for the ones that do this there. Perhaps some of these people that will not support Impeachment have these accounts also, so I would watch the ones that go there or own homes there.

Congressman Olver Massachusetts/Justice Department

I wrote to this Congressperson recently in support of Impeachment. He wrote back to me and told me he did not think they would receive the 67 votes needed to do Impeach the Pres. and Vice Pres. He of all people know just how bad it is for many of us and our rights are being taken away daily here and abused. I am not sure why he is not pushing this more, we do have a State thing going on here now, and that is the Indian Casinos they want to bring in but have been told no and are still trying to get them in, I do not know if he is in support of this. These are the same people in the Bahamas, as stated in Ms. Waters comments. Our Gov., Democrat, was against this at first but his wife is a lawyer for a casino lawfirm and also has ties with other lawfirms that remove womens and victims rights to protect these companies. Our Gov. is now in support of these casinos after we voted him in and he told us he would not go this route. I do not know what these people are being promised by these casinos, but I heard if you oppose them in most ways they will then offer you some big job and alot of people go that route and choose the wrong thing to do. Perhaps Congressman Olver approves of these casinos also and that would place him in between things here. I know the people of our state have said no already, yet they do not listen. I do know that most people in Massachusetts do want Impeachment and right now, towns have voted on this and are proud to be in support of Impeachment. As far as Congressman Olver goes, he should be asked straight out why he is not pushing it harder and now, these next months could be disasterous for us all. We do not want our children reading in their history books that we approved of what has been going on and that will happen if Impeachment does not happen!
