An open invitation to all people who would reject tyranny and demand accountability:

As a patriotic American who loves this country, and a Vietnam veteran who served
under the U.S. flag in a combat zone, I ask you to join in the movement to declare
July 4, 2008, "Impeach Bush/Cheney Day (IBC Day)."

Let's demonstrate to the world and to Congress that not all Americans are willing
to be sheep that go blindly and silently along while the Constitution of the United
States is being cast aside by our current administration.

Let's walk in the footsteps of our founding fathers and use our collective voice
to announce that the one freedom that Americans demand above all others is freedom
from tyranny, because it is that freedom that is basic to all other freedoms.

This upcoming Independence Day may be our last great opportunity to come together
with, not only all other Americans, but also with people around the world (given
the power of the Internet) , in demanding that impeachment proceedings be brought
against this administration which has proven its disdain for our U.S. Constitution
& Bill of Rights, and which continues to move unfettered towards fascism.

Let's take this opportunity to, once again, Declare Independence from King George.

To borrow some phraseology from Woodie Guthrie/Pete Seeger, Let's surround this
administration and force it to surrender.

Action Items for July 4th, IBC Day:

- Wear a shirt/hat with "Impeach Bush/Cheney" on it
- write it on the rear glass of your automobile
- put up a sign in your yard
- carry a banner in your July 4 parade
- get a placard in camera-view of any local/national parade coverage
- put a sign/banner in the window of your business
- truckdrivers, put a banner on the side of your truck

Action Items for pre-July 4:

Post on your MySpace, FaceBook, website, blog and every forum in which you participate,
the IBC Day declaration and the list of Action Items.

From now until June 30, email/write/phone everyone in your address book and ask
them to join in declaring July 4th to be Impeach Bush/Cheney Day

On July 1, 2008 - send postcards/letters to your state/federal representatives asking
them to petition Congress to begin impeachment hearings immediately (links below)
