Update on Washington State's Iraq Town Hall Mtgs (WA01,WA07,WA09)

Hello,
I am Katie, who offered to arrange an Iraq Town Hall Meeting a few
weeks ago. Here is an update on three district's efforts:
There will be three opportunities to share your views and learn from
others. (District Representatives have been invited to all).Also if you are in District 02 or Distric 8 things are cooking   please contact me there may be a partner for you.(kfrevert@gmail.com)

District 01 Congressman Jay Inslee's District
There is an Iraq Town Hall Meeting being held at the Shoreline
Community College Theater. DATE AND TIME TO BE DETERMINED BY STUDENT CLUB.
Agenda-Speakers on economics and the war. We have Iraq War vets
attending and Backbone.org. There will be open-mike sign up throughout
the meeting .We have invited Congressman Inslee's Sen. Patty Murray  staff . Contact Katie (kfrevert@gmail.com for more info)

District 07 Congressman Jim Mc Dermott's District
We were encouraged to spend our IraqTown Hall efforts in other
districts since Mc Dermott has predominately voted 'no' to funding the
Iraq Occupation. We did not set up an Iraq Town Hall Mtg here. There is a Speak-Out being hosted by the Rainier Valley Neighbors for Peace. They have welcomed participants to come
join the opportunity to speak and be heard by Congressman McDermott on our topic.
Saturday On May 3 at 2 pm (Speakout with Congressman Jim McDermott
there to listen to neighbors, at Rainier Community Center, 4600 38th
Ave. S, sponsored by Rainier Valley Neighbors for Peace and Justice.)

District 09 Congressman Adam Smith's District
There is an Iraq Town Hall Meeting

Representative Adam Smith of the 9th Congressional District will be hosting a town hall meeting on Wednesday, May 28th in Federal Way. 

The meeting will be held from 7:00-8:30 PM at the Federal Way Community Center located at
876 South 333rd Street in Federal Way (98003).

WA 07 Congressional District- - This is NOT a formal Iraq Town Hall but we have an invitation meet with Congressman Jim McDermatt at the community-based, "Speak Out"

When: May 3rd at 2 pm

Although this is not a formal Iraq Town Hall, you are welcome at the "Speak Out" being hosted by the Rainier Valley Neighbors for Peace. They have welcomed participants to come join the opportunity to speak and be heard by Congressman McDermott on our topic.
