The Last Hillary DLC-Straw

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/03/25/AR2008032503082.html?hpid=topnews

“But as Obama heads into the final presidential primaries, Sen. John McCain and other Republicans have already started to brand him a standard-order left-winger, "a down-the-line liberal," as McCain strategist Charles R. Black Jr. put it, in a long line of Democratic White House hopefuls.”

“Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton's campaign has also started slapping the L-word on Obama, warning that his appeal among moderate voters will diminish as they become more aware of liberal positions he took in the past, such as calling for single-payer health care and an end to the U.S. embargo against Cuba. "The evidence is that the more [voters] have been learning about him, the more his coalition has been shrinking," Clinton strategist Mark Penn said.”

I have been silent about the neocon, Republican-Lite, Democratic “Leadership” Council (DLC), and their poster girl, Hillary, during the Primary season -- but enough is enough. Just like Joe LIEberman, Hillary is helping McCain to split the Democratic Party -- just as the DLC has been doing for over a decade. This is twice that she has recently sided with John McCain against Obama, and she was dead wrong both times. The first time was when she said that McCain was more able to be CIC than Obama, and now she is calling Obama a “Liberal” as if that were a bad thing.

First of all, Americans overwhelmingly want a return to moderate Liberal values, and that includes getting our Citizen-soldiers out of  harm’s way, and out of that stupid, stupid, war in Iraq. The 2006 Congressional mid-term elections proved that beyond a doubt. Liberal Middle Americans also want to put the brakes on our rapidly crumbling infrastructure (roads, bridges, ports, airports, etc.) and to permanently fix things like Social Security and Medicare. Liberal Americans want health care, regardless of how it is paid for, and increased taxes for the common good are acceptable to most.

When Hillary calls Obama, and in turn me, a “Liberal,” she is implying that Liberals are less patriotic than Conservatives, but she is really telling the American people that she is just another neocon Republican-Lite DLC corporatist. She forgets the fact that American Liberalism is the foundation of the great advances made by this country of ours. She forgets that the Constitution was written, and amended, based on the Liberal values of the American People. Hillary forgets what America and its People stand for, and she promotes neocon-style facism by representing corporations instead of the People who voted for her.

If Hillary is nominated as the Democratic Presidential nominee, I will vote for her, but only because McCain would be much worse. And then, I will work even harder to replace her, and all of the neoconservative DLC and Republican corporatists, because they have perverted our Representative form of government for their own (and their corporate sponsors') benefit.

I too have remained as neutral as possible regarding-Action link

our two Democratic candidates.

But for Hillary to throw our party under the bus with her implication
that McCain was more suitable to be a CIC than Obama, and now this- a slam
against Obama for being "liberal", is too much for me to stomach.

I'll say this again,
our candidates need to focus on their accomplishments and their
goals for our nation. AND they need to have a plan in place on how
to counter Republican opposition to those goals.

They need to fight McCain, not each other.

Here's an action link to help carry that message to them.

Thanks in advance.

You're welcome, Bill.

I hope the petition gets lots of attention and
signatures.

I live in Pennsylvannia and I vote.

I have not been happy with Hillary of late.

Liberal vs. Conservative

What this Nation needs is:

-LIBERAL Incomes for the majority.

-LIBERAL Wages for the Troops.

-LIBERAL doses of Science Education.

-LIBERAL Energy Policies that thrust the USA beyond big oil.

-etc.

What we don't need is:

-Conservative Incomes.

-Conservative below market wages for the troops.

-Conservative lazy egotistical anti Science crap.

-Conservative go for the $$$ rather than the Terrorist crap.

-Conservative ME ME ME generation crap.

-Conservative scaredy cat crap.

-Conservative "I'll take the brown nose title" rather than a raise, crap.

-etc.

Being as that Reps AND Dems are causing us to pull our hair out these days, some might find this useful.

1) Go to www.veoh.com

2) click on TV shows.

3) type in "Lost in Space"

They have every episode for free (along with thousands of other shows for free).

4) Place in corner of screen while you do computer work.

5) Work on reasons why this is useful for productivity (for when spouse approaches).

Remember the pet monkey on the show? I think its name was Debbie.

I wish I had Photoshop skills and the time to edit this picture:

This all must stop, NOW

We can only hope that Senator Reid's promise to resolve this before the convention becomes true. I am absolutely disgusted with the campaign that HRC is waging now. The republican party shills said a couple months ago that the only way she could win was to go negative, and she is now executing their playbook masterfully without regard to what she is doing to the party and our chances for victory over McCain.

Before she changed tactics I had a hard time deciding whom I should support, now the decision is crystal clear to me albeit too late since our primary was a month ago. Regardless, I will vote for her in the general if I have to.

If I, a lifelong Democrat, have to hold my nose to vote for her, imagine what independent and a significant number of lukewarm Democrats must feel. There will undoubtedly be a block of voters that vote for McCain because of this. To those who still smell the stink of HRC's gutter politics after attempting to hold their noses, I'd implore them to use both hands. A McCain presidency will almost certainly bring about another war with Iran, a Fundamental Islamic state with almost three times the population of Iraq. The mess in Iraq will seem like a walk in the park.

I think She is relying on...

...folks completely forgetting once the general is in full swing.

Also, regardless of the particulars, Obama did start something. Folks were moved. There was a freshness in the air. To have that countered BEFORE the general election by a fellow Democrat sucks royally.

There is a decay time to these things and there was zero reasons to start that decay before the General.

I'd be interested to hear

I'd be interested to hear what Monica has to say about Hillary's techniques in her attempts to blow Obama -- out of the race.

Well...

...I'm presently lifting weights, watching Lost in Space, Monitoring the site, and running Physics in the background, so I'm a firm believer in multi tasking ;)

Pa-rump-bump (rimshot!)

Pa-rump-bump (rimshot!)

I'd rather see her fire Penn

If Hillary wants to help her campaign she'll get rid of the same baggage that claimed Kerry and Gore (okay...HELPED to claim Gore).  Their strategists are FOS.  I won't even go into the stunts they got our candidates involved in that backfired big time.

Fact is that Penn needs to get his hat and go home.  Advice like his gives the presidency to republicans.

This "Liberal" slam is the

This "Liberal" slam is the same argument that the DLC, and its self-appointed "leadership" members, have used against Howard Dean and the other elected delegates of the DNC for years. They have been openly hostile to Dr. Dean and the DNC in general since they decided to split the Democratic Party for their own corporate greed.

The DLC and its corporate sponsors are just another wing of the RNC, and they should be honest enough to admit it. But no, they prefer to hide behind a sham "Democrat centrist" (read Third Way -- the Tony Blair movement) label, and continue to lie, cheat, and steal from the real Liberal Democrats in this country.

I call bullshit!

Well vote them out

It's like having a scratched 45.  Used to sound good in it's day, now it's just crap.

I'm thinking NADER BOMB, if they screw this up.  I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired.  I know who's the best to lead, but it looks as if, he has to be covered in sh*t to be even considered.  I saw a man that had more respect for the party than the party has for him.  All the voters from both parties and independents and for what, HRC want to be that first Women President, even though I wouldn't want any of my six daughters to follow her example in anything they do in life.

I can't believe she threw barack under the bus, for a Rethug, like John McCrazy.  Too much to worry about with the supreme court.  I would really think about who WE have to represent us and restore our Great Country's name.

They owe so many corporations and I know We the People will become a second or third thought when she's elected.  Her supporters said she is going to neglect the African Americans because they didn't vote for the Clintons this time too.  What a witch.

Sounds like my way or the highway, and very very Bush like.....

Oh no, not again.
