Hillary Clinton for President 2008!

She's our only chance guys! She's got senator experience, she's got the moderate views, most importantly, she's got the last name. If we nominate her in the primaries, we will no doubt bring a democrat back into the White House. So, what do you think?

further reasons WHY she'll win can be found at:

No Hillary

I don't like Hillary at all, she sides with Dubya on too much, we need a true democrat that will fix this country and uphold the democratic values.

Courage is the antidote to fear.

Hillary may be the leftist lu

Hillary may be the leftist lunatic first lady of the 1990s, but in todays world shes nothing more than a magnet for the Right to keep using as a punching bag. That is why i never suggested from the beginning or that i would not recommend myself to nominate Hillary, She would indeed be credible, but only in a Democratic Primary where she may dispatch all of the heavyweights. She would be a disaster in the general election, particularily if the Repugs fell for our tricks (though i dont think they are smart enough to) to get Rudy to run. The only Repug that might can beat her is Rudy, but what if the election is rigged or stolen again. HUH? We cannot allow this woman to disintegrate the landscape of the Democrats. Besides howard dean is looking more like a lock for our new chairman every day, and i dont believe he would secure Hillarys return.

The only one that would secure Hillarys return would have probably had have been Rush Limbaugh's choice of Harold Ickes. When i was listening to the pervert pigboy Rush's show on in November, He said that Harold Ickes was being groomed to replace Terry McAuliffe. And he said it strictly that it would be because Hillary for 2008 would have been paved by Ickes as DNC Chair as a "clintonesque."

Look, I refuse to have more "clintonesques."

The whole DLC cannot understand the truth about Bill Clinton's victories. He won because he was a fighter, not because he was a Centrist and "appealed with a centrist agenda."

And i refuse to have a Kennedyism type candidate either. I want a real progressive like Truman and FDR. WE should all agree on that one.

Forget Kennedy Old Guard Liberalism.
Forget Clinton Clintonesque DLC Centrist Repuglican LItes.
Dean will pave the way for a REAL progressive TO WIN our nomination. We all know he will.

And whether it were Gore back, or anyone, it will be a real progressive in the mold of Truman and FDR. Not some Old Guard Liberal like Ted Kennedy who has the right values of progressive liberalism, but is just too much of a stuffed worn out liberal.

We need a Truman. FDR. Those are the real face of the Democrats. Real Progressive liberalism, not old guard liberalism and definitely not centrist clintonesque DLC lites.

Joke: Whats the difference be

Joke: Whats the difference between a Repuglican and a brain?

Answer: The Repuglican nose nothing.

Yeah? But Barack Obama has

Yeah?

But Barack Obama has already ruled out a run in2008. I think he is concentrating on 2012 or 2016. Maybe even 2020. Hes got to get from being the 99th in seniority of the minority party to atleast the top 25 or so in seniority of the majority party before he can be credible enough to run, and that will take awhile withthe Repugs destroying our country running the Senate.

Over my dead body.

Nuff said.

I know you are joking..

'our only chance' ? Please

I still like her... If she wi

I still like her... If she wins are you telling me you guys wouldn't vote for her?

PAC to Destroy Hillary Before 2008

Republicans think they have a winning formula:

Wannabe Swift Boaters seek to “stop her now.”
Arthur Finkelstein, the political guru who helped create George Pataki, now wants to Swift Boat-ize Hillary Clinton. Senior New York Republicans say he’s creating a political action committee called “Stop Her Now”—all you need is the pronoun with this crowd, apparently—which will attempt to raise more than $10 million nationwide to use against Her during Her 2006 reelection campaign. The PAC will “bloody her up long before her presidential run,” vows a top state Republican, adding the model is indeed the Swift Boat Vets. Stop Her Now will bludgeon Clinton with ads, whether or not the New York GOP has found a candidate to take her on, which is looking increasingly difficult.

Please

Please let this thread with the idea of Hillary becoming president die.

I like Hillary, she is siding with Dubya too much, this is a conflict of interest, and she is way to polarizing throughout the country, this is a bad idea.

No one likes Ted Kennedy, I think he is hilarious, but he also has no chance.

Courage is the antidote to fear.

KERRY 2008

Submarine   USS Wahoo  ss238

It is too soon to think about 2008

we all must get out and defeat the Republican congress in 2006
like.....Sensenbrenner, Hyde,Delay etc

And whoever is up for re election in the Senate

But I like Kerry/Clark 2008

What we really need to do though is to get one of our congressmen
to put a "NO electronic voting machine" bill through, and get that bill passed, I am going to try to do that with my congressman
David WU, and then talk to Senator Wyden about it.

sWhooee--Hilary can really create a

storm here. I think it much
too soon to be thinking about
a specific candidate. Until
our party stands for someithing
with a clear message, we will
be running token candidates bouns
to lose.

We need to see how the world
looks closer to the election.

In the meantime we need to reform
our party , get a message that is
so clear any American can quickly
recite it. Work like killerbees
to get more Dems in House and
Senate. A President who has to work
with a Republican Congress and Senate
is something but not much improvement.
They will soften the republican Policies.
In other words, we 3 years to find
a Cadidate for President. We need
Congressmen now.

If Hilary runs, Condi will be her opponent
(Divide the Black vote and Consolidate
Republican Power for next 20 years--they
hope.)

Did you say killerbees?

Thanks for the recognition!

Wisewoman

Anyone who appears to be a Democratic frontrunner for President is going to get swiftboated by the Repugs. It does show, if this is their plan, that they are feeling threatened by her. Alot can/will happen between now and 2008. If she keeps sponsoring awesome legislation like "Count the Vote," well, she's starting the action we need desperately need.

I was thinking this morning how she is the one who drew the world's attention to the "vast right-wing conspiracy" how many years -- 7 or so -- before here we find ourselves with a rightwing highjacked U.S. and maybe world. She's no dummy. You all say how hated she is, but is she anymore hated than Bush? I think not. Why do people hate her? Because she's brilliant and one of the best speakers in the entire country? Is it just too frightening to have a woman as powerful as she is/could be? She would make an awesome President if we could get her there. I'm not saying she is the best candidate, but I don't necessarily think we should be so frightened of her. Like I said the swift boat guys will attempt to cream any candidate we pick.

It won't be the swift boat vets

They don't know Hillary from Adam. I read that it will be the women who came after Bill Clinton, they will claim that Hillary hates women and covered up for Bill after he attacked them. It will be the 'Swift Boat Bimbos'.

Whoooee--Hilary can stir the pot

even here. The dust is flying.

It is much too soon to be thinking
about Presidential Candidates.
We first need the party reorganized
and a strong clear message.

From now to 06 we need to concentrate on
Congress and trying to get more Senators
and House Members. A President with
A Republican House and Senate will
still have to work with Republican Policies
He orShe can make the landing a little
softer or not so harsh.

If Hilary runs Condi will probably
be her opponent. Interesting??
NeoCons dream ticket.

I say --let us get our party organized
get some new House and Senators
and see what is going on in the
world in 07?

HILLARY WONT WIN...so dont waste it...

She will be 'demonized'...Hillary is doing old politics moving from left to center ('middle')...and that's not a good & wise move. ---She will be torn down by the Repugs ...and also too; moving to middle (moderate) is not what the Dems should be doing ---(pleasing the moderates and the moral value voters) --isn't so safe.

In 2008 --the Repugs will have a whole new 'game' and it won't be 'moral values'..and or 'war on terror'..they used all their cards already in 2004.

The Dems need someone that 'stands out' --for all the people that don't agree, don't believe and have other 'alternative methods' of working the government system --new ideas and plans.

Policies vs. Politics are ; apples and oranges...

We need fresh , new 'smart creative and innovative people in the Democrat stable of candidates --that have bright and new ideas (Obama Barak)- --Not more of the same, not more of trying to make people happy...we need someone that takes a 'stance' and backs it up with substance.

White golf ball ...can also be black...

She knows...

She most certainly knows what she is doing. She is one of the most complex and advanced politicians I have seen in quite a while. She's gone from first lady to senator in less than a year. She'll go from a Senator in her 2nd term to the president before that term is even completed. She has UNBELIEVABLE popularity. The people who say she can't win are in denial. You may not have liked her, or the Clinton adminstration, or Bill. Honestly I don't know why you are bringing her down. All I know is she is our ticket to the White House and if you want to throw her away, that's your decision. Our candidate is right in front of us, in New York. She is a NEW woman. Take a look at her again...

women don't trust other women

no way!
women naturally wont allow themselves to bond with other women.
i see it in my wife at school...
i see unfounded mistrust at church and work...
and within our home-association, it's just amazing to me how grown adults can wield unneccessary factions towards someone that SHOULD really be tolerated, if for no other reason than sharing an experience.
Hillary will lose at such an amazing percentage, that we will probably turn to change our political party name.

I don't care WHO runs in 2008

I don't care WHO runs in 2008. Right now, our focus is on 2006 and winning back Congressional seats, and credibility in our own ranks. Hillary, AND her supporters, should be focused on doing what she was elected to do: being a voice for the people, right here, right now.

This counter-productive emphasis on a future presidential candidate is meaningless and self-destructive. Get busy in your local areas, and support Howard Dean in his new role as the Chair of the DNC. Help reunite our Party, and do what can be done today. 2008 will take care of itself when the time comes.

HELLO, IT IS ONLY 2005

We should be concentrating on 2005 not 2008. A lot can happen before then. There are a lot of things to get enthusiastic about before the election. By the way, what was so hard for her to switch from first lady to senator? She only needed a state in which to run. no other women had tried it before, but she had a career of her own. Barbara Boxer has stood up and been counted while Hillary sat by and voted yes.

I would love for Boxer to be

I would love for Boxer to be president... but she is not well known enough... I bet if she was a man however she would be top on the list

Kerry Still Stronger for 2008

Kerry is a MUCH better candidate in 2008. The Clintons are truly hated in the red states. Hillary also is pro war republican kissass...
We need her like a hole in the head. !@#$$%*&^%$!!

really

The clintons aren't that hated, remember bill won Montana, Ark, Louisiana, Georgia, Tenn, Florida, etc.

Hillary wont win

forget Hillary, let her be an affective legislator...
it's so obvious that a Senator carries negative baggage.
We need a govorner.
How can anyone argue against that fact of history?

Wes Clark

Wesley Clark for President in 2008. National Security, and we need to connect to the heartland of this country.

I think that John Kerry is very strong coming out of the presidential election. I am pretty young but I don't believe I have ever heard of any former candidate being as vocal as he has been.

I think there is a lot to do in the world, #1 fixing the problems in Iraq and the middle east. We can't bail now, or even as soon as we like. We as a country created that mess, even if we didnt want to go in it's the US that did so. We have an obligation to clean the mess we made.

The former DNC Chair in his last interview was asked why do you think you lost the 2004 election, and he simply said: National Security. We may all feel that we don't need a military vet or a bush-lite. I don't think we need one either. But we do need a candidate who is going to appeal to those southerners in pickup trucks.

I worked on the Clark Campaign so I am a bit biased on the matter I just feel that not only is Wes the most qualified, most able and ready, he has the most executive expierence, and can't be beat in the general election. It's us Democrats that beat Wes Down.

We can't trust our polticians either, they lie. Wes is no liar, he's straight from the heart. I was satisfied with John Kerry in 2004 I just feel we could have fared better if Wes Clark was the nominee. No 4-Star General would have lost to an Texas Air National Guard Deserter.

I am in the military too, I have been for the past 4 years and Wes Clark had more support than Kerry did. People saw kerry's actions and saying one thing and saying another. And NO ONE can't tell me that John Kerry wasn't a complicated candidate in 2004. Maybe the media and the GOP didn't make it easy but Kerry wan't very agressive.

Hillary Clinton has the support in our party and even in our country but if she became the nominee the GOP would eat her up. I think however she has the second best shot behind Clark in 2008. There is plenty of other names floating around too. Mark Warner, Tom Vilsak, as always Bill Richardson... oh yeah Mr. Edwards.

Think about where our "purple nation" is right now. The best bet is two southerners again. We may not win very many states in the heartland but if we just pick off a couple, victory awaits.

my pick is...

my pick is Governor Gary Locke
http://www.governor.wa.gov/

he has a history.

Wes Clark?

if theres ONE thing about our Nation,
we as a whole are shallow.
we as a whole take FEW real "chances".

our democrat party needs to win via strategy.
"give the people what they want"
We are forced into the situation that We must "sell" ourselves to BOTH sides.

a woman will lose the presidency,
a minority man will lose the presidency

I invite everybody to do some analysis

I'm in Puerto Rico, so I cannot vote for the president/vice-president so I see this on the outside. I invite everybody to make a little bit or deep analysis of the presidents of the past 60 years (from the end of World War II to the present and the spreading of television)...try to look the similarities of all this presidents, specially those that won consecutive terms and those that win one term. Analyze those that run against them, after throught thought and analysis you will get to some conclusions. No matter if the people of United States is more inclined in a given election towards right-wing candidates or left-wing candidates, the people of United States want a candidate that is first of all young and energitic(like John F. Kennedy), if not young at least with a young and energetic spirit(like Ronald Reagan), they want a presidential candidate that has a BIG win carisma(like Dwight Eisenhower 5-star Army General and world hero of WWII), they want a candidate that inspire the people (like Bill Clinton and Carter in 1976), etc.... You can get to your own conclusions but the facts are there. George W. Bush won 2 times because, dems failed to learn from history and didn't nominate a candidate with the above cualifications...man, John Kerry was anything except the above, he has a BIG L from the start(L is for Loser) in his face and was too serious and didn't have the carisma...in conclusion and in my opinion Hillary Clinton have many cualifications of a winner presidential candidate and the fact that she is hated is very good, in fact excelent because REAL LEADERS do that, they polarize, you can be in middle ground with real leaders, you love or hate them... Hillary Clinton have a big W carisma(Clinton is lastname that in subsconscience of the people reminds the word WINNING), etc....this is my opinion, from a man from Puerto Rico....my recommendation is let Hillary run for president in 2008 and you will get some surprises.

Hillary is a winner...

Thank you Puerto Rico for your opinion -- I sent a letter to Hillary just this past week - regarding the U.S. must and great need for 'a national healthcare program'. --

Hillary is doing a great job in New York and has numerous accomplishments to her name since she's been Senator. --She's moving to the center and she banked on her great 'work ethic', and track record. --She's polarizing, although will carry the 'Dem nomination' very well. --- John Kerry isn't a 'politician'..he's a statesman..and sometimes this means someone that 'proscecutes instead of defending' issues...he didn't nail the issues and against Republicans because he's a diplomat. --

Democrats need to come up to the plate; with major and innovative agenda and programs..and I beleive Hillary's efforts in the early 1990/93 with a 'National Healthcare Program'..will be a great initiative.

Why do some people continue

Why do some people continue to insist that running a charismatic, beautiful, and witty candidate for president will solve all of our problems?

One more time people: it doesn't make one iota of difference WHO is POTUS, if we can not regain control of Congress. Get it? We need to rebuild the Democratic Party from the bottom up, and not the other way around. We need to repair the damage done by the DLC and their corporate whores on the left side of the aisle.

The new-old Dem face...

getting a new fresh and winning coach...might help the loser team get their spirit back!!

First of all, we are not

First of all, we are not "the loser team." Secondly, Howard Dean is working very hard on revamping the Party, and HE is our coach now -- not Hillary, not The General, not anyone who is a "wannabe" at this point.

That has been our problem for the past few years. Every four years we start with a different plan, and a different "coach." Enough already.

Why does this crop up now?

Hillary's name keeps recycling every month or two. Maybe, they all saw her on CNN like I did when they were talking about the legal problems with her campaign. I think that it too early to start speculating about 2008. We don't know what will be left standing after Bush's reign of terror. Do you think that Bill will vote for her? He is so chummy with Bush Senior and never comments on anything. Just because he is the former president doesn't mean that he can't have an opinion on something more controversial than tsunami relief. Maybe, he is saying something and I haven't paid to hear it.
