Why can't John be heard?Of course we all know why he can't but I guess my real question is why are we putting up with it? Big money runs our elections now. Getting people elected has become a billion dollar business. No wonder John scares the media so. They'd have to go out and get honest jobs instead of making up stories about good honest people. John is not only not taking the lobbiest money but he's also holding his own with the high rollers. This means he is working hard and getting the most votes for his money. That tells me that if this man can be heard people will agree with what he has to say. Now the reason for my writing this is to encourage anyone who hasn't heard John Edwards and knows what he stands for I invite you to go here http://blog.johnedwards.com/ And if you support John Edwards please do as I'm doing and spread the word.

He is a great guy
Blame the media
www.washingpost.com and
www.washingpost.com and other outlets are reporting John Edwards is dropping out of the race.
So the MSM has succeeded.
It's a sad political day.
IMO he was the best answer to the current mess and would have been the best able to defeat whomever the repugs throw up to run.
I'd certainly like to see him as someone's running mate but I think it's unlikely.
Msfitts, I am so sad to hear this news.
Who will now speak for millions of Americans
who have been ignored?
A sad day
I guess the writing was on the wall. No matter what Edwards said he could not get the attention that the other two commanded. Since the major media are all owned and operated by big conservative corporations he just did not stand a chance. He's the only candidate the repugs feared. I am afraid we have opened the door for them in '08. I'm seriously doubt that either Hillary or Barack can beet McCain in Nov. If we are lucky he will run out of money and we can run against Romney where we stand a slightly better chance.
I was going to vote for him
I was going to vote for him next Tues. (CA) Darn. I haven't put on the bumper sticker yet so I guess I'll find one for Obama now. I hope John throws his delegates towards Obama. Hillary is going to try (and probably will win) to get Michigan and Florida delegates approved. They'll cave. They're real good at that.

Vrycreus, I am in the same situation.
I was very sad and felt like a cut off low pressure system
that had broken off from the jetstream- just lost and raining
intermittently.
But as John said, we have to continue. I wish he had given one
of the remaining two an endorsement. He said that would come later.
I am looking very closely at both candidates, now.
Tuesday is our big day, here in CA.
