It is totally out of place
to accuse Senator Clinton or her campaign of spouting such bilge. Senator Clinton wouldn't even need to - the sexist behavior of Obama himself, Jesse Jackson Jr. and others in his campaign would be far more than enough to do damage to him.
I do not forward bilge. But I also have no intention of donating money to Senator Obama's campaign unless he wins the nomination for President.
Why we can not let this stand
Ginny,
I agree the Clinton campaign or its suppoerters had nothing to do with this. But following is a post from Stephan Crockett of Democratic Talk Radio that shows how quickly this crap makes it into the mainstream and becomes fact in some peoples minds. This stuff can not be ignored. If we as Democrats learned anything from the Swiftboating of John Kerry in 2004 its that we must instantly and vociferously shine the light of truth on these lies and falsehoods. Remember the words of Ronald Reagan's press secretary, : "Reapeat a lie three times and it becomes the truth."

----------------from Democratic Talk Radio---------------------------------------------------------
My local daily newspaper The Cecil Whig (Elkton, Maryland) quoted the President of a local Republican Club saying "america is not ready for a black, muslim President."
I am going to write a column about their efforts to swift-boat Obama. It ready is obscene.
Shows them to be both evil and unethical.
Although the Cecil Whig heavily tilts Republican (think local Washington Times or Fox News in print at least on the editorial page), they printed the truth directly after the quote. The Whig might do things like almost completely ignoring all news about the local Democratic Congressional candidate Frank Kratovil but even they could not swallow that particular swiftboating attempt.
I am going to call for the resignation of the Republican Club President who made that statement!
I agree with you about the bilge.
You're right to call for the resignation of the Repugnant Club President that made that awful statement based on the lies that are being spread around. We all need to make sure lies get stomped out. I lean toward Clinton but I will support Obama if he is nominated. We all need to stop the Repugs.
This kind of false rhetoric
This kind of false rhetoric about Obama has been going on since he entered the race ... Fox News referring to him as "Osama" ... the whole thing about the madrassa... his middle name is Hussein... (the average idiot won't recognize that hussein is a common arabic word for "handsome" in the middle east)
A bit over the top Mike
Don't you think that this is a bit over the top, Mike?
As much as I'm sure we all dislike [hate even] the terrible e-mail circulating about Obama the "Otherwise you fry" part is a bit radical for a political web site and trying to use their lies to shame voters into sending money to your candidate going a bit too far.
You wouldn't want to turn people off to your candidate, I'm sure.
"When fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in the flag, carrying a cross." ~ Sinclair Lewis
"I'm just pissed off that not enough other people are pissed off."~Bill Maher
Don't you think that this is a bit over the top, Mike?
Yes, Thanks for noticing. On a day when our primary race threatens to get real ugly, real fast, I thought a little humor was in order.
Forgive the sarcasm about a serious topic Dinamic. Knowing the E-mail blast likely came from the nuts on the right, I could not pass up the opportunity to remind those that push to put the 10 Commandments in every public building that they would do well to spend more time reading the Commandmnents and actually practicing what they teach.
Don't expect a lot of reasoned thinking from our little group. After all we are Maniacs that are crazy for Barack. :-)
