Dubya Compares His "War On Terror" To WWII – Again

WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Bush compared Congress' Democratic leaders Thursday to people who ignored the rise of Lenin and Hitler early in the last century, saying ''the world paid a terrible price'' then and risks similar consequences for inaction today.
So exactly who are the straw men that this mental midget is talking about when conjuring up a modern day Lenin or Hitler? Which country do we attack next in order to stop these “similar consequences?" Where is the huge industrial war machine that enabled Lenin and Hitler to invade other nations? Where is the sacrifice and united efforts of the citizens of the United States and Europe in support of a just war against a clear and present danger to the free world? Where did this wannabe Churchill or FDR get the notion that he has even the slightest grasp of what's going on in the real world?
In a pitiful effort to save his AG nominee (what water boarding?) from embarrassment in front of the nation, this dimwitted, sorry-assed, lame excuse for a president, makes a case for WWIII by comparing his illegal invasion of Iraq, and his bogus “war on terror” against a faceless enemy, to WWII. This is the same neocon song and dance that Dubya, Cheney, and Condi have used to argue for more treasury-depleting funding for their corporate war-for-profit PNAC plans.
Does this Alfred E. Neuman look-alike really believe that the American People are that stupid? As a village idiot with a BA once said: “Fool me once, uh, uh, uh, you can’t fool me again.”

Are the American people
" that stupid?" I'm beginning to wonder. Ignorant is what I've been offering as the excuse, saying that most citizens just don't know. But people don't WANT to know; isn't that stupid? Bush can say and do whatever he wants, no matter how crazy and cruel it may be, and get away with it, because most folks don't care. They don't care until, and unless, it affects them immediately and directly. Of course it is affecting them, but they don't see it yet. I fear that they won't see it until it's too late. When somebody breaks down their door and takes them away to a dank cell somewhere, they'll see it. When their homes are confiscated they'll see it. When they go to work and some other lower paid no-benefit sucker has their job, they'll see it. When they are made to salute their 'superiors' on the street, they'll see it. Until then, I don't think the average American citizen will think about anything other than what' on tv, or the incremental higher cost of gas. I feel that we, who do care and try to see what's going on, are each of us thinking for about 50 other people who don't want to think. It gets exhausting carrying around these lazy, stupid, fools on my mind's back. It's hard work trying to figure out what's really going on, and what the right thing is to do about it. Blogging is slogging. And these complacent, self-absorbed souls make me crazy-mad for not doing their share. They are the ones who make it possible for the neocon criminals to move in and fill the void of apathy. Truth betold Bill, I think that they may be " that stupid."
I share your frustration
I share your frustration Steve, but with around 70% of Americans agreeing that we need to get out of Iraq sooner, rather than later, I just don't believe that an attack on Iran will fly.
Bush is desparate,
Bush is desparate, delusional, and devoid of those necessary qualities that make a competent leader. Add to that dim-witted, as Bill states, and it equals dangerous.
My, he hasn't changed a bit!
