Ct. Chris Dodd, the only choice" for the people", and bringing home trrops NOW!

Our own Chris Dodd of CT is the only logical choice for President. It's a shame that we are allowing once more, a presidential race where, "he", or in this case "she with the most money wins" this most important office..We already went through a president with no experience now lets get one with years of real experience and true leadership as well as honest service to real people like you and me. The middle class has been used to pay for everything in this country, and we get nothing in return. With our own Chris Dodd here in CT, as our President, we'll  have that voice, lets get him elected and share him with the rest of America. In every area he should win hands down, money is the ONLY obsticle here and we can change this with contributions now before it's too late and we miss the chance to get the president we deserve for a change, and bring home our troops NOW. The very issues we talk about in here, are the issues he supports now.

. Hillary needs to go back to being a senator for many years to get the true experience this high office demands, and that we need in these dangerous times of corrupt officials. We don't need another mouth piece for Corp. America running things and polluting our earth... Our very lives depend on this NOT being a popularity contest or another, who has the most money to buy this office from we the people again.

Obama has no true experience, lets have him try again in a few years and see what he does with that.  Hillary doesn't deserve this election either, being first wife and a senator for ONLY a few years doesn't count as real experience.

Dodd had not run his whole life in readyness to be President like Hillary has, and with his record he brings years of honest hard work and true service to us in CT. If we supported him, we'd finally get troops home and broker world peace with dignity. Dodd would lead with common sense and honesty. Chris Dodd of CT. will not shame us like we have been forced to endure with Bush, or  brutalize and terrorize us as Cheney has.

The only way to take back america from this rain of fear and color coded terror under Bush is to vote for Chris Dodd, a real american, with real experience, and who isn't running because he is power hungry like some. He is running because he wants to help and serve us, and short of Al Gore agreeing to run, NO ONE else running has the experience and will promise us to bring the troops home as Dodd will, "right now"..

We owe it to ourselves to at least check out his web site. I promise you'll like what you read about this man. For all of his being busy, even while he runs for president, I can personally claim that on two occations he has found time to help me, a small person, a truly unknown really, but he has time still for his constituents and he answers mail. Does your candidate do this?  Dodd helped cut through the red tape and within hours  made the issues I was concerned about go away..He knows how to deal with big business and foreign relations, and negotiating, he "plays well with others' unlike Bush who can't play at all and shames us every time he opens his mouth. Let's get the president we deserve and need for these scary times.  His promise is his word, he doesn't lie or make false promises, like the others. Dodd is direct and honest, his integrity shines through anyone up there running. Lets give him some help people, contribute and lets get the president we desparately need in Dodd now.

Golden Leash Award

The Golden Leash Award was presented to Dodd by Public Campaign, April 29, 1998: "The Golden Leash is a symbol of the ties between special interest money and elected officials. It is awarded to Members of Congress who demonstrate egregious conduct in the quid pro quo practice of dollar democracy.

"This award serves as a reminder of Senator Dodd's acceptance of $910,304 in campaign cash from January 1993 to December 1997 from the Securities, Investment, Accounting and High-Tech Computer industries... Goldman, Sachs & Co., Morgan Stanley, Salomon Brothers and others donat[ed] $523,551 in PAC and individual contributions. The accounting industry — perhaps the biggest winners in the 1995 securities litigation reform law — donated $345,903 in PAC and individual contributions. This includes such giants as Price Waterhouse, Ernst & Young and Coopers & Lybrand, among others. Deloitte & Touche's contributions to Senator Dodd increased nearly five-fold from 1995 to 1996 soon after Congress passed the reform law the industry championed. The computer industry — a fairly new player in the campaign contribution field — ponied up $40,850 in contributions."

Public Campaign's report cites the following examples: Dodd was an original cosponsor of the Private Securities Litigation Reform Act of 1995, and he helped to organize the Senate's override of President Bill Clinton's veto. The National Securities Market Improvement Act, which ultimately weakened oversight that would have protected investors. Dodd lined up as a cosponsor of the Securities Litigation Uniform Standards Act, an extension of the earlier securities litigation legislation. The bill was strongly supported by The Uniform Standards Coalition, an ad-hoc group of securities, accounting and high-tech computer firms.

I watched Dodd years ago (I

I watched Dodd years ago (I think on FOX) clearly bypassing PERFECT opportunities to advance how screwed up the Bush Administration was with respect to taxes, the deficit, AND the chronically underpaid working majority in this Nation.

He also received donations

He also received donations from Enron and Arthur Anderson, plus he voted for NAFTA and CAFTA. [From the same Wikipedia entry cited above.]

Bill, if you saw what I saw

Bill, if you saw what I saw I'm sure you would have seen him CLEARLY navigating (and not for our benefit).

Can we get a break?

Kucinich, NOT Dodd, is the Choice for the People

I disagree with you completely. Dodd is not the only voice for getting out of Iraq immediately. Dennis Kucinich is the ONLY democratic candidate for President who not only voted against authorizing the use of force in Iraq, but he consistently voted against funding the war. If Dodd was against the war, why did he vote to fund it? Funding the war prolongs the war and continues the killing. Dennis Kucinich has promised that he will bring the troops home immediately upon taking office.

Throughout Dennis Kucinich's life of public service, he has repeatedly shown courage by standing up for the interests of the people. As mayor of Cleveland, he blocked a private takeover of the city's public electric system. The banks, which were tied in with those who wanted to purchase Muny Light, threatened not to renew the city's credit if he refused to sell. This forced the city into default, and Kucinich lost his reelection bid and effectively sacrificed his political career. Years later, Cleveland was able to make a huge expansion of the municipal power company; something that would not have been possible if Kucinich had caved to the corporate interests. He saved the citizens of Cleveland hundreds of millions of dollars. The people of Ohio recognized his political courage and elected him to Congress in 1996.

Dennis Kucinich says that one of his first acts in office will be to cancel NAFTA and WTO, free trade policies which have facilitated a mass exodus of American jobs, especially in the manufacturing and technology sectors. Dennis will protect American workers in this way and by creating a system of universal, not-for-profit, single payer health care: Medicare for All. He is the ONLY candidate for President with the courage to stand up to the health insurance industry and declare that the for-profit aspect of health care must end. He recognizes that the insurance companies make enormous profits not providing health care; they deny coverage, deny procedures, and have Americans trapped in a cycle of premiums, co-pays and deductibles. 46 million Americans currently have no health insurance at all. Another 50 million have inadequate health insurance. Opponents of the Kucinich plan claim we will face rationing like in Canada or the UK-- wait-- what we have right now is worse than rationing. We have 46 million people who don't get any care at all, until they're so bad off that they go to the emergency room and then go home with enormous bills. This is wrong, and Dennis Kucinich has a plan to stop it. No plan will be flawless, but Medicare for All will ensure that every American is covered for all necessary care, including vision, dental, and mental health, and we won't have to worry about the cost of seeing a doctor when we're ill.

Please take the time to learn about Dennis Kucinich. The media may try to portray him as a far-left liberal, but don't be fooled. The media, owned by corporate giants, don't want to see Kucinich elected because they know he would work for the people, for the middle class and the poor and those whose voices have been silenced or ignored by previous administrations. He can't be bought and he can't be bossed. Dennis Kucinich is polling in 4th place in New Hampshire right now, and a couple of polls have placed him in 4th place nation-wide. Even without the media's help, his message spreading, and I hope you will take a moment to learn more about him. www.dennis4president.com.

According to several threads over at DU...

another of his blockbuster announcements:

He wants to take all the handguns away from civilians.

Doesn't matter one way or another, but there are a large number of people who will not look kindly on Dennis for that whopper.

That ought to drop Dennis from the comfortable 3% he usually generates to about 1%.
