Hello i am an impeachment organizer in Orange county planning one every month this month Two on the 15th and the 29th. I am also a yoga and meditation master.
Social activism doesnt allways pay so good what do you think about it. It takes a lot of time dont you thingk the government ought to create activism workers. Funding ACLU without a lot of strings attached to the funding except dont steal it and use it for only protecting peoples rights.

Government funding of the ACLU wouldn't work...
were the organization funded by the government, then it wouldn't be a watchdog group. Funded government workers are named: Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld/Perle/Delay/and so on.
Publically funded groups need to organize their own funding to be able to honestly deal with the problems within our society.
Just contemplate for a moment, government-funded religion. We have that now, despite the Constitutional ban on such.

ACLU funding?
We already have a government agency which is supposed to be doing the job of the ACLU. It's called the Justice Department. What are they using our tax dollars for? Seems they make up their own laws and rights today. Cronyism for a tryannical President is very much over the line and abuse of power.
We have a right to remove any agency head who fails to do their job as a federal employee such as Gonzales. He was not elected to change or make any laws but to enforce them. He was attacking our Constitution and Bill of Rights instead of protecting them.
Dove, Gonzo was appointed...
not elected. In other words, he served at the convenience of the president. Toadyism is the term that comes to mind.

Building the network - furthering the cause
Thoughts on our project:
What we wish to develop:
A database (list) of email addresses, at the grassroots level, of representatives of every impeachment group, every ‘out of Iraq’, every Peace group, every Democratic, every Republican club, every political Meetup Group - existing - in every Congressional District.
We have started with a more modest objective, targeting districts of members of the House Judiciary Committee and key Democratic leadership persons.
The existence of this list, distributed to every member of the list, will empower each individual group, enabling them to solicit aid in support of their individual lobbying efforts.
Individual member groups can alert a nationwide network of activists, with a single BCC email, of a planned demonstration or lobbying meeting with the group’s Congressperson and request a supporting blitz of phone calls, faxes, emails, etc.
There are a growing number of national, web-based organizations devoted to impeachment.
That there are a number of them is part of the problem we wish to address. Individuals may subscribe or ‘check in’ at one, two, three or twenty such websites, but no single site will, as yet, provide access to the sort of grassroots networking here proposed.
How many Facebook groups, Yahoo groups, and MeetUps would one have to join to begin to approximate the facility here proposed!
What is needed is a point of accumulation for this data:

Who – what group or organization is in the best position to gather or accumulate this information?
I suggest that we submit this question, this project to the major sites and organizations devoted to impeachment to see if we can get their power engaged . . . .
