Join us for a day of patriotic, non-partisan, all-are-welcome events honoring our courageous military, and promoting what we all want - to bring them home safely!

Schedule of Events:

9:00 am - 5:00 pm - Straw Poll Canvassing: 9-5 outside the Fort Worth Convention Center

1:00 pm Pre-Rally Entertainment

1:30-3:30 pm Peace Rally Main Street, including:

  • "I Miss America" Pageant

  • 5:30 pm - Celebrate the American People - Texans for Peace after-rally fundraiser ($5 donation suggested)! at The Pour House

Speaker Biographies:

  • Tunde Obazee - "Grand Poobah" of Empowerment Radio
  • Carolyn Wonderland - award-winning guitarist and songwriter who knows how to rock the house.
  • Col. (Ret.) Ann Wright - chair of Veterans for Peace who resigned from the State Department to protest the war.
  • Carlos Arrendondo - father of Carlos, killed in Najaf in 2004.
  • Tina Richards - mother of Cloy who suffers from PTSD sustained in Iraq.
  • Diane Wilson - shrimper, activist and author of "Unreasonable Woman"
  • Cindy Sheehan - mother of Casey who was killed in Iraq
  • Rev. Lennox Yearwood - minister and leader of the Hip Hop Caucus
  • Hadi Jawad - Dallas peace activist and co-founder of the Crawford Peace House
  • Fr. Tim Gollob - Holy Cross Catholic Church
