--- Did AG Alberto Gonzales give false testimony to Congress?  FBI Director Mueller says that he did.  In so testifying, Mueller corroborates the earlier testimony of then-acting AG Comey.  That's a pretty impressive array of testimony contradicting Bush's long-time Texas crony and yes-man.  It's hard to believe that an "investigation" is even required to determine Gonzales' obvious perjury.... Isn't what we've just gone through an "investigation?"  Would such a further investigation somehow let Gonzales off the hook for his deliberate lying,.. by calling it misstatements and memory lapses? 

--- God, I hope not,... because we cannot afford to get squishy with the Bush-neocon junta right when we have them in the legal croasshairs.  In fact, what Gonzales' undoing OUGHT to mean is that there is no further conceivable justification for Miers and Bolton's refusal to testify,.. nor for Rove to ignore his subpoena.  In fact, it's high time to be looking exactly where all this testimony leads,..... to a corrupt and dishonest White House.  Executive privilege is beginning to look suspiciously like the 5th Amendment.

--- This is actually a situation which the voting public-at-large can readily understand.  If House and Senate republicans continue to provide "cover" for this rogue administration, then they can expect to take a worse pounding in 2008 than they took in 2006.  The penalty for lying to Congress is pretty well spelled-out in the law,... and the threshhold for impeachment, in the Constitution.  And that's what everybody on Capitol Hill, Bush included, has taken an oath to uphold.  Let's get on with it.
