Congressman Steve Israel Shows Promise

Representative Steve Israel, from Long Island sent me an e-mailed response today about me asking him to support Dennis Kucinich's 3 Articles of Impeachment against Vice-President Dick Cheney.  Though he wouldn't spell it straight out, I am quite sure he shows promise.  All indications point in that direction.  He is proud to be a Democrat and shares our concerns about the Bush Administration's poor planning in Iraq and questionable intelligence leading up to the war.  He believes it is essential that Congress and the American people know the full nature of the intelligence information that formed the basis for the U.S. Military action in Iraq.  He also believes we must demand accountability and plan of redeployment from Iraq, from the Bush Administration.

He is for protecting the environment, upholding workers' rights, expanding health care coverage and assistance to Americans in need and making substantial commitments to our childrens futures by increasing education spending.  Opposes tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans.  Believes we must clamp down on corporate and investor fraud.  Is also taking a leading role in weaning Americans from relying too much on foreign oil.

This was too good to pass up and I had to tell you about it.  Please thank him with an e-mail by going to his website at www.house.gov/israel

Also, a note, Representative Don Young from Alaska does not support Vice-President Dick Cheney's Impeachment.  He is happy with Cheney's service in office.
