Elizabeth31: Will you work with me on impeachment?
Dear Elizabeth31,
Are you willing to do something to get more Wisconsin Representatives to cosponsor H.Res. 333 (impeach Cheney) and H.Res. 589 (House Committee on Rules directs the House Committee on the Judiciary to investigate worthiness of impeaching Gonzalez)? So far, 42 federal Representatives have signed up as cosponsors of those two bills. Tammy Baldwin (D-WI-2) is co-sponsoring both, but no other Reps from Wisconsin.
I live in Milwaukee and want to get Gwen Moore (D-WI-4) to do so. Some individual has signed on Democrats.com to work in District 3, Ron Kind (D), but I can't remember her address right now.
In which district do you live? Five of Wisconsin's 8 Representatives are Democrats including David Obey (D-WI-7) and Steve Kagen (D-WI-8). Could we get enough people around the state to get all five of them in favor of impeachment? Things are starting to move. A groundswell for impeachment is gathering speed, so I think now is the time for action.
I'm presuming that converting Reps toward impeachment in any form is the first thing, and then impeaching Bush will follow.
