What: Congressional Testimony from Locally-Elected Officials on the Local Costs of War from the municipalities with Bring the Troops Home resolutions and or that fall under the jurisdiction of similar ballot measures. The day will include an orientation and breakfast at the Institute for Policy Studies, press conference at the National Press Club on the Local Costs of War, a march with resolutions in hand and media in tow to the White House to deliver these municipal level demands for an end to the War in Iraq, and Capitol Hill for testimony about the local opposition to the war and the local effects of the war in Iraq.
Locally-elected officials and constituents will then go to lobby their Senators and the day will end with a reception with the Congressional Progressive Caucus.
Who: City Councilors, Mayors, and citizens/residents of cities and towns that have passed some kind of anti-war resolution or ballot initiative

- 9 a.m. Institute for Policy Studies, Breakfast and Orientation
- 11 a.m. National Press Club, Press Conference on Local Costs of

- 2 p.m. Capitol Hill, Locally-Elected Officials' Testimony on Local Costs of War
- 3:30 pm Senatorial Visits to deliver Resolutions
- 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. - Reception with Congressional Progressive

There are $50.00 scholarships available. If you have economic need, please indicate your interest in a scholarship. Very few funds available for travel and lodging, but we hope that your community will see the local, national and international importance in sending at least one locally-elected official to represent you in Washington on this day!
