A regional educational event on issues related to the growing national movement on impeachment will be presented by Dan DeWalt at the Woods Memorial Library in Barre on Wednesday, June 13, at 6:30 PM. The event is open to the public and is free. Residents from area towns are invited to attend.

Dan DeWalt, selectman from Newfane, Vermont, gained national recognition when he wrote the resolution of impeachment in the town of Newfane. The resolution passed by a vote of 121-29, and his actions spurred close to 50 towns in Vermont to follow suit. He will provide information on constitutional law pertaining to the impeachment of George W. Bush and Richard B. Cheney, and how citizens can introduce the article in their cities and towns. Hubbardston is among twenty towns in Massachusetts involved in the movement, and will vote on the article of impeachment at the annual town meeting on June 19.
