Bush told war is harming the GOP?

Harming the Republican Party? What a load of self-serving partisan CRAP! If it weren’t so sad, it would almost be funny. 3000 American soldiers dead, many more thousands wounded, hundreds of thousands of Iraqis dead and wounded, and all the whimpering and cowardly “moderate” Republican Congress members can say is that the war is harming the GOP? These Dubya-pandering neocons believe that they are political victims of this phony "war on terror?"

This illegal war is harming the entire world, but most especially those who are being shot and bombed in Iraq on a daily basis -- Americans and Iraqis alike. Once again, the Republicans have proven that their own self-interests are more important to them than the interests of the citizens of the United States, the Constitution, and basic humanitarian principles. They are truly the epitome of all that is wrong with neoconservatism, and its underlying ideology of greed and “me first.”

I can just hear them also saying that Katrina (and Dubya's inept response to the disaster) has harmed the GOP much more than the victims. Kind of makes you want to kick something, doesn't it...?

Aghast

It is absolutely so. I have been stewing over this all day, good to hear someone else sees it, too. How on earth could this band of politicians sat back while some many thousands have died and billions waisted, saying nothing, and then....well...their political futures are threatened, and only then are they justified in calling BS on Bush....I mean, God Dammit....the senseless, brutal self serving attitudes that populate this government....as if the lives lost have not been reason enough
......and,there are many in the Democratic Party who are equally culpible....all those who voted to support the war so the could protect their political futures....and then, oh God....claimed they had been duped into it..

jellocat...you should note that none of ours...none of theirs...

have neglected to pick up and cash their paychecks.

When we made Senators into Princes...and Reps into Counts, Barons, Earls, etc...we lost what our founders tried to give us.

The greatest derangement of the mind is to believe in something because one wishes it to be so.

So true

It is so sad that it took over 3000 dead, and the pressure from these constituents to make the GOP change course.

They will do and say anthing to keep their jobs.  I hope and pray that we can get them all out, Demcratic Congress and White House.  Only way we will restore our own credibility and bring peace to the region.

Why do you hate America???!!!   hahaha

It would be funny if it wasnt so sad.

Watch them in September say that there will be a troop withdrawl, just in time

for next years elections,  the same thing the Democrats are fighting for

except sooner then later..

"The greatness of evil lies in its awful accuracy. Without that deadly talent for being in the right place at the right time, evil must suffer defeat. For unlike its opposite, good, evil is allowed no human failings, no miscalculations. Evil must be perfect... or depend upon the imperfections of others."

Katrina Works Out Well for Victims

Babs Bush said so: "What I'm hearing, which is sort of scary, is they all want to stay in Texas. Everyone is so overwhelmed by the hospitality. And so many of the people in the arena here, you know, were underprivileged anyway, so this is working very well for them."

So many things/people to

So many things/people to kick -- so few feet...;-)

If that's the limit of their vision,

and they can't see beyond how this affects the GOP,
they have no business making decisions that affect
our country.

Arrogant, self-serving bastards!
