Due primarily to Kos, the biggest progressive blogs have avoided impeachment like the plague. But thanks to ProsecutorGate, that avoidance is finally coming to an end.
Atrios sent a pretty clear signal in a post entitled Impeaching Abu G
If the White House stalls the investigation, then impeaching Abu G should pretty much be a no brainer.
Atrios then published in full the 3 Articles of Impeachment against Richard Nixon.
Matt Stoller noted "Gonzales did lie to Congress and that's a crime" and asked whether Congress can impeach Gonzales. Of course they can! The precedent is Secretary of War William Belknap (appropriately enough for military kickbacks!) which John Dean first cited on 12/15/06.
Impeachment is mentioned again by Scarecrow.
Even bloggers who continue to avoid impeachment are sending clear hints, like Josh Marshall's 18-day gap reference to Nixon secretary Rosemary Woods' "accidental" 18-minute gap in the middle of incriminating Nixon tapes.

Can bush block congressional subpoenas???
George W. Bush, the Great Uniter, is defending his stance to allow Rove and Miers to testify about the firings of 8 district attorneys behind closed doors.
Bush goes on to state that he will block any subpoenas.
Good Question - That brings
Good Question - That brings me to ask, can Bush block impeachment? I mean - he is the decider.
Pledge to impeach!
Wow, Bob -- I've been visiting the impeachment dialogues here periodically. I signed the petition letter to Congress awhile ago, but today's the first time I realized that y'all have garnered well over 8,000 participants!
When Dennis Kucinich opened his forum site after announcing his candidacy, your post to him about sending him your support IF he were to call for impeachment stuck with me. That is now my position, too. ALL members of Congress are in serious dereliction of duty--Democrats for agreeing to the Pelosi party line of taking impeachment "off the table." IMO, impeaching Bush & Cheney is the only hope for ending the war (given the wimpiness of the 110th Congress; voters have been betrayed!) and avoiding an attack on Iran. And time is running out!
I urge anyone here who's signed Bob's petition letter to also join forces with http://PledgeToImpeach.ORG -- a plan with TEETH to back the petition drive here and others nationwide. Bob, please join us on Capitol Hill May 1 with your roster of patriots who've signed your excellent "ten reasons" impeachment letter!
Since Kucinich FINALLY said "Is it time?" (for impeachment) a few days ago, I've been calling his office asking for an appointment, but his scheduler says he's "too busy." We'll whether or not Kucinich is going to lead the majority of Americans (over 50% according to polls, 87% according to MSNBC) who've been demanding impeachment. If no Representative actually steps up to the plate, http://PledgeToImpeach.ORG has a Citizens' Memorial / Petition AND Action Pledges from 47 states to back it up! If we join together, the hard work activists such as yourself have been carrying out CAN force impeachment by We, The People!
This massive, unified, results-oriented movement of representatives from every pro-impeachment group will give Congress no option but impeachment! Folks, check out http://PledgeToImpeach - Read the Plan, Sign a Pledge, and join us on May 1 in D.C.!
