Bush and Rove thought they would let Meirs take the fall on this but since she was GW's lawyer in Texas she has the goods on him, from drug use to AWOL. She wasn't suitable for the supreme court but she is smart enough to say no to being their sacificial lamb. Noticed how the blame quickly shifted to Rove, where it belonged. Amazing how far Bush will go to protect Rove and Company.
