What we need is not a national day of protest. What we need is a national day of rest.

We need to take a day off, all of us, from the war
Take a day off from the loss of our civil rights
Take a day off from the impending doom that is heaved at us daily throught the nightly news
Take a day off form the worries and woes of life

On our day off we should:
Have a block party, meet your neighbors
sleep late, we could all use that
watch a totally unpolitical and whimsical movie

On our Day off we should not

Buy gas
Buy mild, bread or grocieries
Go to a mall
go to a mega store
Spend any money at all

See they forget that we have the power, the power of the dollar

So Let's have a National Day of Rest shall we?
