High Fives for Democrats
January 06, 2007
Rewarding Democrats for Representing We the People.
We’re quick to criticize when Democrats do something we don’t like, so it’s time we started rewarding them when they do what we like. Let’s send them $5 or more when they do something we want them to do.
Democratic National Committee
The first High Five is for donations to the Democratic National Committee, in appreciation of the stand Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid have taken in opposing an increase in troops for Iraq, BEFORE BUSH EVEN ANNOUNCES HIS PLAN! Congratulations, Democrats, all we internet activists have ever wanted from you was to show some spine in dealing with George Bush and his right-wing administration.

We Must Stop Fighting Israel's Wars
I have two sons, ages 16 and 18. If Israel's military gets exactly what it wants - war against Iran - my two sons will be drafted to kill Arabs and Persians who had nothing to do with attacking our country. It was Isrealis who were spying on us just prior to 9/11. NOT ARABS! It was reported by Fox News, for Christ's sake! Doesn't anyone wonder why those reports were pulled and never spread widely to the American public?
If you want your sons to stay out of the military ...
... then help keep Democrats in power. If you can contribute to the High Five, please do.

Teena...you really need to stop watching--and believing...
FAUX news. They never saw a lie or distortion that they didn't report on.
Over the past 6 years, The National Inquirer has been a more reliable and creditable source of real news than has FAUX.
A mind once expanded can never return to its original dimensions.
Anne Hathaway: 1556-1623
The greatest derangement of the mind is to believe in something because one wishes it to be so.

Bob Schieffer interviewed Nancy Pelosi
today on "Face the Nation". It was very refreshing listening to her talk about how Bush needs to be accountable to Congress (who are The People), then Congress can decide to go along with Bush's war plans or not. In the past it has been the other way around. Bush acts like he is accountable to no one and Congress has given him a blank check. Nancy Pelosi says this will not be the case anymore. Congress will now scrutinize any plans the president has before they make a decision and that is how it should be.
Regular broadcast news can, for the most part, no longer be trusted for accurate news. Hopefully there would be a time in the future when that will change.
I feel it's great that Pelosi and everyone is talking about this now. I hope they continue to talk about things in the open like this.
They will do it ...
... if we reward them. I hope you can contribute.

Right on, PatriotMom
Right on! With what you wrote, one thing more I would like to see is a more open Government, all this secret Government BS just add to the Corruption on Capital Hill. Let us start to be a Democracy again. There is a lot of thing that our Government can do to improve relationship with the people, which at this time is at a all time low.
Hey Ya'll guess who I talked to today
I spoke to a co-chairman of the "Common Ground" Katrina victims organization I met in D.C. during the march for the troops to come home. She was there with her husband Malik who was on C-Span last year appealing for funds to feed the spring break volunteers who come every year since the FEMA fiasco.
They are trying to keep the removal of debrie and reconstruction effort going through the communities. They have organized because after 18 months, FEMA is still threatening homelessness to the victims of Katrina who are trying to come home. The deadline is April 10th 2007. Contact "Sharon or Malik through the site on "CommonGround.com. The administration is putting up barriers, (laws) to have the people keep their grass cut or lose their homes under an abandonement law. Lowe's is making a killing down there and I told her to contact the man ager or corporate office for a tax deductable donation on a Power lawn mower to keep it cut. I hope they do it.
Now, here is the chance to put your money where your hearts are.
They need some donations for the transportation of volunteers from various states during the school break and they need funds to feed them. The volunteers help everyone, rich or poor, all nationalities.
The money from Washington is not trickling down to the people, who are threatened with losing their homes.
Please see what you can do to contribute for this worthy call to help legal American Citizens who have served in our wars and contributed to the montra of a fair America who cares for it's citizens in times of disaster.
Congress had it in session the other day to remove 1.8 billion from FEMA to give to the returning low income housing and hud to repair the homes. Home owners are literally committing suicides and losing their minds over the neglect of New Orleans, in their dispare to live in their state and homes.
We help people all over the world and now is the time to look out for the people who have suffered.
Do the right thing, GIVE to Common Ground's voluteers.
Sharon will be joining us soon, she is registering. Have a care, New Orleans is emotionally broken too.
