Surge of troops in Iraq
A surge of a few thousand troops in Iraq seems to be the Presidents show of his attempted power over a Democratic Congress. Simpley a political move. He should know if we were to send a million troops into Iraq, it would not make dent in the Arab world. Iran alone could bring forth probably 10 million troops is they wanted to. Those folks have changed boarders with civil wars since before Christ. It is time to bring our troops home, not to esculate a war that should have never started.

Absolutely! Not to mention this surge goes against
the recommendations of the Iraq Study Group.

IMO he will kep in trying to
IMO he will kep in trying to have it his way. He probably still believes he can still salvage something from this pre-emptive war and save something for his "legacy". He will want to remind the American people he is still the CIC, the "decider", and all those other things HE see himself as.
Personally, I don't see him working with Congress. His talk of bi-partisanship, reaching across aisles, all working together, is just words that were put in hs mouth by some speech writer.
That isn't how he operates. He isn't going to change, and remains, (IMO and despite a Democratic controlled Congress), a deeply disturbed and dangerous man.
