Benny Thompson states that impeachment is not a priority with him. He states that there are administration actions that should be the subject of oversight committees. It is possible that evidence revealed throught that process would raise impeachment to a priority. Has his thinking changed since then? He has had the opportunity and has been asked to cosponsor HR 4232 submitted by Rep. McGovern of MA which would cut off fund for war in Iraq. Although 19 democrats co-sponsored, he did not. Rep. Thompson is a member of the Progressive Caucus. He is also a member of the Out Of Iraq Caucus.
