Justice Must Be ServedLet us make sure that freshly-minted Pat Murphy (everyone I worked for on 11/7 won!) does indeed bring a fresh perspective to Congress. It's not about partisan revenge. It's about redressing the egregious grievances committed by one of, if not the most phenomenaly arrogant, Consitutionally subversive, de facto criminal regimes in American history. Honor the dead! Expose the truth! Expose it in the official forum of Impeachment for high crimes and misdemeanors. As Kerry said in 1971, "What do you say to the last man to die for a mistake?" Yet "mistake" doesn't even begin to assess the horror of George-III's unjust war of aggression. Let us form an Impeachment Committe in the 8th District. If lying the country into an unjust war is not impeachable, the Constitutional restraints on a Royalist executive, the balance of powers is a pathetic joke. WHAT WOULD JEFFERSON DO?

Pro-impeachment group in PA08
I too would like to see a pro-impeachment group formed in PA08. Am new to this format. Does the fact that I don't see any other responses mean there haven't been any others yet?
pro impeachment group
I don't know how to get a group formed either but I sure am interested. If you would like to contact me please e-mail me at alamb910@aol.com or you can call me at 215-968-0736.

impeachment and conviction
I very much want to help get a group going in Bucks county. The current administration is tearing up the Constitution and we need to stop them. There will be a forum on Impreachment Dec 2. Details below. If you want more info I'm at cjfitts@bigfoot.com.
So please pencil in Sunday evening, December 2 at 7:00 P.M. for our long-awaited Forum on Impeachment. We have lined up two outstanding speakers-- and we expect another soon-- Rob Kall, editor of Op-Ed News (and one of our own members) and
Dave Lindorff, correspondent for The Nation and co-author of a much-praised volume on impeachment The event will be held at the Bux-Mont Unitarian-Universalist Fellowship, at the junction of Street Rd. and Rt. 611 in Warrington. N.B. This is not an impeachment rally, but a forum on the history, meaning, and constitutional definition of impeachment, and an assessment of whether either the President or the Vice-President has committed impeachable offenses.
On Tuesday, House Democrats
On Tuesday, House Democrats plan to approve $30 billion more for Afghanistan. Then Senate Democrats plan to approve $70 billion to cover Iraq as well. Then House Democrats plan to approve the full $70 billion.
Why are our Democratic "leaders" betraying us? Because they want Bush to sign - not veto - the $522 billion omnibus spending bill to fund the government this year. We have no Democratic "leaders" - we have utterly incompetent negotiators who lose 100% of their battles, no matter how much public support they have.
Our Democrats in Congress clearly do not care about the voters who elect them, whether Democrats or Independents, virtually all of whom want them to end the disastrous occupation of Iraq now. Our Democrats in Congress do not care about the troops fighting in Iraq and their families, who oppose the occupation even more than the rest of us, by 69% to 64%. The only support for the occupation of Iraq comes from hard-core Bush Republican voters who never vote for Democrats.
Who do Democrats in Congress actually care about? The donors who fund them - period. So call your Representatives and Senators with a simple message:
Not one more penny for Iraq - or not one more penny for your campaign.
If you have ever contributed to your Representatives or Senators or to any Democratic committee, be sure to tell them how much you will not give them.
Let's all call Monday and Tuesday (between 9-5 ET) and shut down the Congressional phone system . Call your Representatives directly:

Or call the Capitol switchboard at 202-224-3121
Or call toll-free: 800-828-0498 - 800-614 2803 - 866-340 9281
And join the Democratic Donor Strike against the DCCC and DSCC

More from our friends at United For Peace and Justice:
Gather some friends together and pay a visit to one or more of your legislators. Stop by during lunch if that is convenient. Emphatically demand an end to the occupation. Your peaceful visit can be brief, or last long enough for your to read the names of every civilian and soldier killed in Iraq, or it can last until the member of Congress agrees to oppose all funding that is not tied to the immediate withdrawal of all U.S. troops and contractors.
If you are able to organize a visit, post notice of the visit here:
http://www.unitedforpeace.org/calendar.php?sortby=&caltype=59
Otherwise click to see if someone in your area has already organized a visit - enter your zip code and increase the search miles to find a protest near you.

George Bush has systematically scrubbed all evidence of his innumerable crimes since he went AWOL from the Texas Air National Guard in 1972.
Last week we learned he scrubbed CIA tapes that proved he engaged in torture, a war crime that has no statute of limitations. Bush issued a non-denial-denial, sending out his spokesliar to claim he has "no recollection" of the tapes or their destruction.
Translation: Bush personally watched them and ordered them destroyed but won't admit it while his staff works feverishly to destroy any evidence and blackmail any witnesses into silence. (Just ask Valerie Plame how Bush operates.) This explains the anonymously-leaked Washington Post article claiming key Democrats were told about Bush's torture plans and didn't try to stop it.
Torture is an impeachable offense. Lying to federal courts about torture tapes sought by criminal defendants is an impeachable offense. Leaking classified information to blackmail Congressional leaders is an impeachable offense.
Congressional leaders is an impeachable offense.
We have collected 131,756 signatures on our petition to impeach Bush and Cheney:

If you haven't signed it yet please do; if you have signed, please help us reach our goal of 1 million signatures by using the link above to forward it to a few friends.

Declare War on Greed
Henry Kravis is a billionaire, the 57th richest person in America. He acquired this wealth by purchasing public companies with borrowed money. To pay off the debt, he cuts benefits at the company, sells its assets, and lays off employees.
This get-rich-quick scheme made him $450 million last year. Meanwhile, his tax rate is lower than teachers, firemen, nurses, even his own cleaning staff!
Yet everyday we hear another story, we live another experience, we see another example of the horrific economic pain our country is being devastated by.
It's time all of us started a WAR ON GREED.

Dear Friend of Democracy,

Withholding cash from DCCC Works Wonders
LOVE YOUR DEMOCRATIC DONAR STRIKE!
(And let's picket all the state Democratic offices to make sure they know and notice)
Below please find a letter which accompanyied a $2000 check made out to the DCCC, hand-delivered to Howard Dean on Nov. 27. The check's memo specified: VOID UNTIL BUSH & CHENEY HAVE BEEN IMPEACHED. (The letter is to cover ourselves so that we cannot be accused of "bribery". This was the second time the Milwaukee Impeachment Committee gave such "Voided checks" to Congressional Representatives and both times cracked their composure:

RE: Impeachment of Bush and Cheney
Dear Congressman Dean,
Enclosed please find a check in the amount of $2000.00 made out to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee with the memo: “VOID until Cheney and Bush [are] impeached”. On behalf of the Milwaukee Impeachment Committee, I am forwarding this check to you as head of the fund-raising arm of the Democratic Party. This check (along with three other similar worded checks previously given to Rep. Gwen Moore) represents the disappointment and disgust of millions of Americans for the weak-minded quietism of the Democratic Party since the 2006 congressional election.
When Speaker Pelosi said at her inauguration as the Speaker of the House that “impeachment is off the table,” she delivered the biggest political slap in the face that I have ever experienced in my 44 years as a voter for her remark followed weeks of work by millions of voters including me, work which gained Pelosi the position she was using to toss aside and discount our labor and support. We had voted in the Democrats because we wanted them to get the U.S. out of the illegally declared war in Iraq and we wanted them to remove our two main executives from office. To date, neither directive has been achieved.
The timing of Pelosi’s remark suggests that the decision to table impeachment was made prior to the full disclosure of the sweeping victory which we workers and voters had handed to the Democrats. Since then, only a few Congressional Representatives – and seemingly none of the Democratic leadership - has adjusted that decision to accord with the reality: that 45% of the American voters want George Bush impeached and 54% of them want Richard Cheney impeached (see the American Research Group poll of July 2007).
Consequently, we, the public, are giving the Democratic Party fair warning. Any employee deserves to be warned about her or his shortcomings in the workplace and given the opportunity to correct any failures. The enclosed check serves as such a warning. We the majority are reminding the DCCC and the Democratic Representatives that the voters are their employers. Either you impeach our two major executives before they direct an unwarranted invasion of another country or we, the voters and workers, withdraw our allegiance, time, labor, and financial support of the Democratic Party.
Very truly yours,
Linda Mistele
