It would appear that Holt's proposal is to make the machines...
work and provide some sort of paper trail. He claims that to replace the machines would be a terrible waste of money. George Bush is a terrible waste of money.
Throw all the machines away, dump them in the ocean and provide a home for fish. Switch NOW to some form of paper and pencil ballots.
States should investigate Oregon's Vote By Mail to see how elections should be done. Paper and pencils and accurate counting is all we need.
Perhaps some penalty should be assessed Diebold and the rest of the smarmy profiteers for their development of technology that doesn't work. Maybe even shut the damn places down and imprison the CEOs.
