Impeachment committee for Mass Dist. 07

We need to have an impeachment committee here in Massachusetts Middlesex district 07. Congressman Markey needs to know that there are people in the district who believe that impeachment is the right and proper course at this time.

Define High Crimes and Misdemeanors on 12/10

Impeachment is an under-utilized tool partly because there is no commonly accepted definition of what constitutes impeachable offenses. Corporations, by contrast, have a clear understanding of mismanagement sufficient for removal from office, and that understanding could inform a suitable definition of impeachable offenses.

One possible goal for a 12/10 meeting would be to begin the work of collecting principles and examples regarding impeachable offenses. For example, can we agree that administering polonium to a senator would qualify?

Why is this work important? Overly vague laws are unenforceable and unconstitutional. And the current situation regarding impeachable offenses is overly vague. If we wait til a president starts poisoning senators, even that would be unimpeachable if the President's cronies deem the poisoning "essential to the national security" and his enemies prefer to avoid polonium.

What? You think I'm kidding?!

We would like to get at least one representative from every group in the Northeast that is working on impeachment and every town that has passed an impeachment resolution. But we don't need more than one or two representatives of each group. This is not a protest or rally. It's a summit for local groups in New England and New York (...and possibly other states too) working on impeachment to help us all coordinate our efforts for maximum effect.
