Bill Young is a 36 year republican incumbent who is a Bush rubber stamp, votes with the GOP over 90% of the time, and as head of the Appropriations Committee and now a head of the Subcommittee for Defense Spending has been at the helm while the military industrial complex has looted our country.

With his newly dwindled clout in the House -- thanks to Bush, Rove, and company -- perhaps he will listen more than he did when I organized a Move On press event at his office in St. Pete in 2005, where we hand delivered over 3,000 signatures to call for withdrawal from Iraq.

At this point I'm totally open to suggestions re: location of a Dec. 10 event. My initial thought is Williams Park in St. Pete because it's close to his office and is relatively easy to work with when it comes to demonstrations. Perhaps a gathering at the park, followed by a march to his office at 4th and Central?
