Impeachment is surely warranted, but we must also think of the likely consequences of proceeding. Even if a charge is brought, will the next congress act? The voters in the recent election wanted action on many problems. What is the priority of impeachment compared to tax reform, health care reform, out of Iraq? In my opinion failure to prioritize correctly could lead to a Republican resurgance in 2008. That is not what I want. Do You? Would impeachment preclude action by Congress on the host of other problems? Perhaps censure would make more sense.

in the case of tyrannical government, the Constitution spells out what must be done and how to accomplish that.
We can discuss the matter as a textbook case(it may very nearly approach that)until the cows come home...but the answer lies in the Congress living up to the oath they individually took To protect and defend the Constitution.
That is the crux of the matter. Impeachment in these circumstances is mandatory.

We need to get rid of Bush before he permanently ruins the economy, i.e., gets us into a depression and starts WW III.
